hey, there are some women out there under 30 who are divorced twice booka. that, to me, is ridiculous, but what do i know.

I'm sure that's true. Being divorced more than once and under 40 would be too much for me unless there were some confirmable extraordinary events. Even then, I would be leery.

I dated on 40-something divorced twice. I eventually got her personal history as this:

Raped and impregnated as a teenager by an acquaintance. The acquaintance is sent to jail and dies there. She has the child and keeps it.

Married to someone in the Army and dragged all over the world. Two kids with him. He was evidentially a very controlling individual, as some in the military are wont to be. First ex-husband.

Married later to someone with Asperger's syndrome. Everything was manageable until they had a child together when he could not divide his attentions between wife and DD. DD is born autistic. Second ex-husband.

So, she's been divorced twice and has children with 3-different men. A long story short, she was not ready for a relationship but didn't know it. Inside, she was a wounded and angry teenager. There was a lot of bizarre behavior. It ended badly and was a true learning experience. Even typing this makes me wince.

That reminds me of a term I coined, serial mothers. I've met several. These are mothers who have children and each child is from a different father. Oye ve!
