Great to see that you and your wife have a good relationship now. It must have taken a lot of time and patience from you as well as forgiveness. Not sure I could do that....

momfordillon2000,

It took a lot of time, but that's about it. I wasn't patient at all and made a lot of stupid decisions during the time we were seperated and divorced. During my seperation many people told me to give it time and my the hurt and anger would fade (not completely but to a managable level). You give me way too much credit. The only thing I did was stay alive long enough to realize that time does change your perspective.

If you REALLY want the anger to go away, then
1) accept that he has a right to be angry
2) don't have a"get over it" type of disposition {This can be detected in tone and in facila expression}
3) continue to let him know how sorry you are....IFFFFFFF you are truly sorry.

Honestly, when I first read your post, and its possible that I'm drawing from my own experience, I got the impression that you still do not understand or take to heart the magnitude of what you've done and the depth to which he is hurt. Until you convey to him that he and his feelings actually mean a lot to you, which it does not sound like they do, then he will continue to be angry. So...

4) be sincere
5) be patient
6) don't just say sorry...show it...and in the meantime, go here www.rejoiceministries.org
