I want to thank everyone for the thoughtful advice and observations on the question I posed on apologies to in-laws. The poll was favorable and as expected. My son and his spouse continue to work through the the affects of their problem. He has moved out of the house but still sees and spends time with the kids. He is aware of marriagebuilders site, has participated in forum discussions, and believes in the theories espoused here. Hopefully his efforts towards reconciliation will bare fruit. Thank you all again.

LP, he made a MAJOR STRATEGIC MISTAKE moving out of the house. Doing that a) increases the risk of divorce b) greatly increases her ability to carry on the affair unimpeded from his home and c) hurts his chances in any court proceedings because many courts view this as ABANDONMENT.

Moving out was a MAJOR MISTAKE that hurts his marriage, his family in every way. The only thing it HELPS is the affair.

Please send him to us so we can help him protect himself. He is making serious strategic mistakes.
