lol pieta!

My mother is this very lady-like, 4'8" fireball from Hooker, Oklahoma. She is the picture of poise and decorum. But she loves to humiliate her children by wearing this GOD-AWFUL t-shirt that says:

My son, who is an AWESOME kid...junior in college...has never given us a minute of trouble. Extremely responsible and respectful. With that being said...

During his senior year of HS he came home with two [email]smart-@ss[/email] t-shirts: one said "Define Girlfriend" and the other said "Hi. You'll do." <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Uhm....no? Back to the store, dude. I learned not to let him go clothes shopping with his goofy best friend. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Why not turn it around? I'd proudly don a shirt that reads, "My (x)wife's boyfriend doesn't like me." And then maybe parenthetically below it, "But her divorce lawyer does." with a big giant smiley face or thumbs up logo on the back.

My W bought a t-shirt with 'See anything you like?' written in big letters on the front. She fills T-shirts out very nicely.

She didn't just buy it to wear around the house. Should I be worried?!

As long as she wears it only when she's with you and your shirt says "Dynamite" on the front and "Short Fuse" on the back.

Back in the day as an unattached mid 20's something I had a shirt that said "Its Real" on the front, the back said "Ron Rico Rum" I got way too many comments the only time I wore it. It became a pajama shirt.

I replaced it with one as described to you.

I thought she would get plenty too. I compliment her on her appearance often but I guess she needed more.

When she bought it, she at least asked what I thought.
I said it invited guys to hit on her.

She said I had no sense of humour. Her shirt says 'tell me I've got nice breasts'. I still don't get why that's funny.

Also said I was being controlling.

She's only worn it once - at home.

worried an embarassed in my opinion.

My WH once brought home a T-shirt that said "CNY singles club" and handed it to me! I responded: "Why the heck would I want THAT?!?!?" He acted disgusted with me and I threw it in the donate to charity bag (and then later in the trash). He had been talking a lot about some old divorced fart at work that he apparently admired... would go on and on about how the guy was in a singles club and they went on bus trips to the NYC and boat trips on the lakes, etc. I would just point out to him that anybody can go do such activities - that you didn't have to join a club to go do things...

i have a friend who has a very screwed-up sister who has habit of dating married men (particularly cops) and makes a point to break up the marriage....not caring what innocent lives she drags down w/ her. it's very sad."

The (latest) OW in our case had a kid out of wedlock with a police officer (don't know if he was married though). She pretended to WH that she 'cared' about my kids (and he believed her) but I KNOW otherwise both by her actions and by things she said to me in phone conversations. Part of the OW's agenda is to make sure WH never catches on that OW is not a 'good girl'...

I saw the "define girlfriend" shirt in the store and actually tried to talk my daughters into getting it because a LOT of their friends do not 'date', have read the book "I kissed dating good-bye", and want to avoid the problems associated with having a girlfreind or boyfriend. We had been discussing the fact that people rarely discuss ahead of time what exactly they expect when they agree to 'date' or 'go steady'. I just thought it expressed the same point the kids, parents, and youth group leaders were discussing. The kids who were dating were always complaining about 'jealousy' and 'betrayal' issues if one of them was talking to, calling, e-mailing, hugging, or flirting with somebody else. Some of us parents were trying to get the kids to think about what sort of things you would do ONLY with the person you marry and what sort of things it's OK to do with somebody who is 'just a friend'.

Yup - that's the ones my WH preferred... He really believed they were sweet and innocent too. I think it fed his ego thinking he could sway even a 'good girl' to commit adultery.

But the truth was he was being conned by them. I regret that I didn't tape the phone conversations I had with a couple of them because they were much more candid with me about their evil intentions. WH wouldn't believe it anyway though because he was quite delusional.

One OW that he had a one-night-stand with on a business trip got married at some point in his 2 week business trip and slept with my husband. I'm not sure in which order. Maybe she slept with my husband before the wedding so in WH's mind that makes her a 'good girl'? Oh and WH went to the wedding too...

With this last OW he told me she said: "You assured me you won't have anyting to do with your family, I don't want to be the 'other woman', I won't be second best". And get this, WH said: "See she never intended to break up a marriage - she's a good person"!!!!
Of course what she really was saying was: 'if you don't stop spending time with your wife AND daughters I will dump you'. This was AFTER sleeping with a married man for over a year and she was pi$$ed off because I was doing Plan A and letting him come over and even going along on visitation with him and daughters (because he WANTED me to).

From that point forward we could always tell whether WH and OW were making up or breaking up because when they were on again she restricted, monitored and controlled his visitation with his daughters. Seriously he could only see them a couple of hours Wednesdays and Sundays AND he had to check in with her by cellphone AND she sometimes stalked them during visitation!

OW had WH so whipped and he didn't even know it LOL

I think this is somehow related to the original post, it's about a trip to an amusement park, but not about t-shirts.

I took our youngest DD and a friend to an amusement park yesterday. I don't ride the rides, so I would put DD and friend in line, then proceed to the exit of such ride and wait. This gave me a lot of time to people watch. I was shocked at how many men I saw blantantly obviously checking out other women while walking with their wives and children. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

When I first noticed it I thought to myself "What a jerk.". As the day went on I got to the point I wanted to say "OMG you jerk you're with your family." But I resisted and kept the words to myself.

I can't ever remember walking along with my H and noticing him obviously checking out women. It made me wonder if the wives had no clue or if they were simply use to it. If my H did what I saw these men doing I would have told him to knock it off.

recent studies have shown that women do the exact same thing. in fact, women are more likely to look at a mans crotch than his face. men tend to graviate just below the shoulders!

I'm sure woman do I just didn't see any woman making it very obvious like the men I saw. (other than teenagers, but that is a WHOLE differnt story, LOL)

I wasn't picking on the gender, I was just surprised at how obvious some were. It was a bit creepy the way some of them looked at some women.

Edited to add: I thought I should add what I am referring to. It wasn't a quick look at someone, say hi and carry on. It was looking a woman up and down then when the woman passed, turning their head to get another look. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Of course on the whole most people were acting normal. I just couldn't believe it when I kept seeing over and over from different people as the day went on.
