Sorry I missed all the fun last night, but reading this morning I had to reply.
Steelers => WooHoo. Big Ben is from our hometown. I can say "I watched him play in High School"! And he was just as amazing then as now.
Maple Leafs => WooHoo. I know us Leafs fans are masacists (just like the Browns fans), but when I was young the only channel that carried hockey that we could get on our "rabbit ears" was from Windsor, so Hockey Night in Canada it was! My brother and I have vowed that we're going to get Maple Leafs tattoos when they win the Cup to which my SIL laughs and says it's going to be funny seeing two 80 year olds at tattoo parlor getting Tatted up. It was painful growing up in NW Ohio with all the Dead Wings fans. My NHL goal every year is for the Dead Wings and Blackhawks to lose and then for the Maple Leafs to win.
LaLa, sounds like you guys must be in Eastern Ohio somewhere. Me too!
Thanks for letting me play along (however late I am)!

HFU,
I'm LaLa's DH Want2Stay. We are about 50 miles outside of Cleveland. I've been a Cleveland sports fan for 28+ years and still don't have a championship to brag about. I watched the Cavs get beat by Jordan back in the day. I watched Elway knock the Browns out of the super bowl twice. Then, I watched the Inians lose the world series in '95 with 2 outs left. I guess that does pretty much make me a masicist. Hopefully, the Buckeyes can pull one out and get the BCS title Monday, but I'm not holding my breathe.....

Hi W2S,
Wow, we’re practically neighbors. I'm just outside of Kitchener ON.
HFU - Sorry, I'm a French Canadian boy and thoroughly enjoy watching the Leafs loose. Like we say... the next best thing to watching the Habs win is watching the Leafs loose.

Hey-anyone have suggestions on a REALLY funny movie for the weekend? What type of movie do you lean toward? Here is a smattering of some of the ones we've enjoyed. Comedy Classics - If you like word play: *The Thin Man Series(Nick and Nora) ( Nora: "They say you were shot in the tabloids." Nick: "They never got near my tabloids.") *Philadelphia Story *Bringing up Baby (or any of the early Cary Grant whacko comedies) *His Girl Friday *Born Yesterday Broader Comedy: *Young Frankenstein ("FrahnkenSHTEEN!") *Beetlejuice (I always crack up at the table scene "Dayo!") *Office Space *Tootsie *When Harry Met Sally *Big *Multiplicity Comedy with a twist: *Dr. Strangelove *Army of Darkness ("Shop Smart, Shop S-Mart.") *Being There *Monty Python & the Holy Grail ("and the number of thy counting...") Western Comedy: *Blazing Saddles *City Slickers *Cat Balou Maybe that can get you started!

Hey Graplin! Thanks for the tip, although I have caught quite a few of those. I'm a big Jim Carey, Adam Sandler, Steve Martin fan. For those of you who love SM, you gotta see Srgt. Bilko-wasn't big at the box office, but one of his best!
Some other ones to see that never made it big, but have some big names in them that are fall-down-crying funny..."Down Periscope" w/Kelsey Grammar; "Trapped in Paradise" w/Nicolas Cage, Dana Carvey, John Lovitts; "The Replacements" w/Keanu Reeves (OMG this one's a TRIP); "The Great White Hype" with Samuel L. Jackson and a ton of other people.
That should give you an idea of my/our taste in funny movies...

I actually tried this same junk. My PA had ended with OM and we were in the middle of a music project. I had not admitted anything to my DH and so we both tried to just be "friends" to the extent that I had the guy over to our HOME and tried to make him and DH be FRIENDS as well. (God, that is so hard to type...I want to hurl). It is one of the things that now hurts my BH the absolute worst..."how could you bring that pos into our home?" There is no grey area here. Absolutely none. Fast forward 4 months and OM had been gone for 3 months and all of a sudden he is emailing me telling me how much he loves me, etc- even though he knows my H knows what happened between us. Sound like anything anybody would receive from "just a friend?"
No...no way...no how!!!!!!!!!!!! It's funny LaLa yanno, MrsK was reading your thread last night and I was looking at it over her shoulder and I remembered how we all got aquainted here on MB. That and your above post makes me ask "Have you exposed to OM'sW yet?"

Yeah, I'm OK, thanks for asking TMTS. We were halfway through watching the Steelers (had it recorded) and when I saw your post I was scared to read it, thinking you would give away the ending! As it is, it cut out the last 2 minutes of the game and DH is looking now to see who ended up winning. It was pretty clear, though, as the Gerard had just ran 30 yards to the 10yl...That's why I'm just now posting. We were both rooting for Pitt, if you can believe it! The little town I grew up in was very close to Pitt and it was our "big city" so my family has always been Steelers fans. Sorry to see, they lost. But at least it was exciting, huh!

They had a couple of good drives... then oops! fumble and that was it. I'm glad you're doing good.
