nesre...tried to find a thread for you...have you started one? Wanted to thank you for your support with that sitch!! No sense in enabling people, ya know!
Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know I will post a thread soon.
Currently I am hopefully?? in transition from following Al-Anon teachings-emotionally distance and protect yourself from the alcoholic behavior-to MB principles.
Short story-My W is an alcoholic-had a 7 year relapse-Found a F-Buddy who supported the drinking. Both addictions at once. I am an alcoholic w/21 yrs of sobriety-became co-dependant with my w and son both drinking in the home irresponsibly-4 yrs ago started going to Al-Anon. Made changes within ME.
Its really an awkward spot to be in. I hope to post and find support from others who have been there and done that.
RIM posted this am. You may want to check it out.

Hey nes...looking forward to reading it! Congrats on your sobriety and making the changes necessary to have a happy life. I cannot imagine the courage that must have taken!
Oh, I already read it...she's obviously in denial. She is no longer a victim, but a willing participant. So be it...I'm done. Funny, she won't even acknowledge us! Ever hear of the story of the boy who cried wolf?
Anyways, I don't have much knowledge of alcoholism, but maybe I can help with the fog...Lord knows I lived in it for long enough! I will be there for ya however I can!
What a sig line...WHEW! OK, looks like you are FWH, 49. She is FWW, 43. Double A's plus alcoholism....is this correct? (sorry-it is a little confusing to my little brain)

Mopey says "Hi" too!
Someone needs to kick my [censored]. I have a test tommorow and can't seem to pry myself away from this board.
O.k., that person needs to be me. Kicking my [censored] as I type. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
/back to work, sigh
Husband was unfaithful to me before and after our marriage, at least 7 times. I found out 13 yrs into the marriage. Trickle truth for an entire year. Several different d-days, so it was more like a d-year. Difficult recovery.

Hey, you weren't suppose to answer this until the morning...maybe we do need to go kick your [censored]. We could put her under the shed with the groundhogs and a flashlight...LOL! Hi guys! Doing very well tonight, thanks. Hubbie and I had a great weekend together! We spent a long time talking on Sunday night (up till 5:00 a.m.) and I told him a lot of what's been on my mind. A lot of what's got me quiet these days (not that you could tell on here...hehehe) is the work I am doing inside myself. I spent the better part of ten years being selfish and taking out my frustrations on DH. At work, I was almost always upbeat, happy, funny, etc. But when I came home, I reverted back to the moody stoner chick. I am not saying I was horrible or anything, just never held back anything that came out of my mouth. My smoking and moodiness was a lot of the reason W2S became so wrapped up in his computer and why we never went out. It's hard to go inside yourself and take responsibilty for most of the bad things that have happened to us. My parents are the King and Queen of LBs and DJs. Even now... although these days I just laugh at them. They just celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary last week. Half the time, you would think they hate each other. So, the environment was always volitile. My F had several A's on my M, so they used to fight about that all the time. My sis and bro are 11 and 12 years older than me, so they left and moved to AZ (2200 miles away) when I was 11. It was heartbreaking for me, because my sister was like my mom. My parents were devastated, and were also going through mid-life crisis at that point. At the same time, I was being harrassed in school b/c a guy I was dating (sorta-as much as you can date in 8th grade) had date-raped me and then told everyone about it. So, everyone thought I was a slut. My parents still do not know the real story of why the whole town turned against me (very small town). So, in HS, I went to a nearby, larger town and had a great time. Was in all the music programs from the start and began my music career. So, it's all good...but that is the reason I always "had my dukes up" from an early age. I had noone to defend me, so I learned to defend myself. Mostly with words (although I did kick the crap out of a boy twice my size when I was 13 because he tortured me endlessly on the bus about being a slut). I can slice anyone down to a smoking pile of doo-doo with my words, though. I haven't been that way for several years, but it came out here and there throughout my M. I have reached a point in adulthood, though, where I must let those things go. Every person needs to recognize the bad patterns in their lives, wherever they came from, and fix them. I have a wonderful H, 2 beautiful boys, and even though we are in a world of debt, we will survive and come out stronger on the other side. Anyways, I told him about all the realizations I had come to over the past few weeks and I think he was stunned. Of course, a lot of it is guilt over what happened, but we are soooo close now. Closer than we have been in a long time. It's not just that I "hold my tongue" anymore, either...I don't FEEL or THINK the way I used to, yanno. It's really great, actually. We have really turned a corner, and I'm lovin' it!

We spent a long time talking on Sunday night (up till 5:00 a.m.) Talking?!? TALKING?!? - I thought I was quite clear in my clarification of the unclear thoughts you were having... W2S, I'm disappointed man. Oh dear you sound 100% better than you did last week. I'm so glad for the 4 or you, you've worked hard and deserve this. You guys are really special.

LaLa-
I'm just happy to hear that you and W2S are turning the corner. I'm sure there are still going to be plenty of rough days ahead, but you'll get through them.
God bless you two.
