In 1969 and 70 I played in a band (we were really awful, BTW) and we covered a bunch of Beatles tunes. One we actually did a pretty good rendition of was Back In The USSR which we used to open our last set for a while.
Then I moved to a country band and then decided my real instrument was a sound console....

not yet....but, my DD loved it and I just bought her the DVD....maybe I will get to see it this week-end....but, it will have to after Elizabeth, The Golden Age....which I plan on watching tonight. btw....I was 6 in 1970 too....I got Abbey Road as a birthday gift.....I had older siblings who were huge Beatles fans....when my 1 brother moved out of the house, he left me his album collection...I was a pretty cool 5th grader. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

And here is one more from me, i can't believe I didn't post it before: Don't Let Me Down: It's a love that lasts forever, It's a love that has no past. Every Sunday morning we have a radio station with a program called "Breakfast with the Beatles". DD18 actually gets up just to listen to it. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Oh, and over the weekend, she made "celephone flowers of yellow and green" (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds). Decoration for her room. she has a really cool room with so much stuff representing all the things she has loved through out the years. Yup, she realy has the Beatles bug BAD!!!
