I've started playing the original again, too. I like it better...still not as good as you...

Lately I've been playing texttwist or bookworm online CC, someone tried to get me to play tumblebug (coincidentally, the same sadist that introduced me to TextTwist and Bookworm), and I absolutely refused. Like I need one more electronic distraction besides the two to which I'm already addicted!!! My highest TextTwist score was 800,000 something (but I cheat, plus my husband stands behind me, when the mood strikes, and tells me what to pick if I can't recognize the word!). My highest Bookworm was 42,000,000 something, and my highest word was around 32,000. Can you imaginehow many hours I wasted to get those scores? Beat cleaning house, that's for doggone sure... Then that evil-weevil Neak went and got a high-scoring word about 5,000 more than my highest word, so now I'm playing ONLY to beat her before I give up and try to spend my declining years doing something more profitable. Right now I'm at Neak's house babysitting the kiddies--young and old--while she and her hubby team drive a big rig across the US. They left Tuesday night and are somewhere near Ohio right now, but have to unload in Pennsylvania tomorrow. Her Bookworm isn't working right now, so I've been getting a lot more done than usual. I could probably get the 11-year old to reinstall it, but I'll police his homeschool activities much better if I don't have something fun of my own to do. Hola y adios. Yo neccisito dormir. I think. Unless I said something bad! Then yo NO quiero. t&l P.S. Oopsie, I'm not my own son-in-law. How surprised he would be to find out how much he likes word games!

Hey t&l, luckily you remembered to sign your name! I was surprised AJ would join us on this thread. He's got a nice line below the signature! Check it out, it might be true for you too!!!!! Yes, I am addicted to some kind of game, while I do other stuff and DON'T do what I really should. I never got even near your scores on bookworm or texttwist. I gave up texttwist because it's timed, and because I have to think too much. Bookworm is great because you can leave it running for days but I'm not too serious about it so I never bothered to get more than 200,000. I play those online. Tumblebugs is different, a real challenge. Mimi and I have been playing for probably over two years!!!!!! I reached level 11 (there are 12)and got stuck for months. Now I'm stuck on level nine and addicted again. the good thing is that each screen only lasts 2 min or less, so you can sort of take a 5 minute break and do a couple. One thing I've learned about myself is that even though I seem addicted and can play for hours and hours, if for some reason I don't have them available I give up very easily. when my computer broke I didn't get TB again, nor did I even play online. I'm also a TV addict, but since cable broke about 12 days ago I just don't watch TV! Now I play TB

CC: You being the TB QUEEN may consider this to be a DUMB QUESTION, but anyways, on TB2, what is the PURPOSE of the GOLD RINGS? How and when do I use them? Continuing to roll my eyes...

Mimi, I think 20 gold rings give you an extra life. I don't think we have the bugs with letters on them in TB2.
I realizedthat there is an expert level on TB2, you have to do 27 levels in less than an hour! I didn't make it the first time I tried. I'm concentrating on finishing level 12 of TB1.

Hmmm..now I'm wondering about you, CC.. They DO have the LETTERS on the TB2 VERSION that I have been playing... There's a NORMAL and an ADVANCED option for play... Which one did YOU do, Ms. TB QUEEN????

Look, I've just checked and I know you are right, there is normal and expert but when do they sk you? it's not in the options.... I guess when you start because this second time I said expert and that's when they told me to do the 27 levels in one hour! I know I read about the rings somewhere but I can't find it. I'll check... because I have nothing better to do

On my TB2, the 27 levels in one hour are in the RESCUE MODE. I got caught in the ENDLESS MODE the other day...almost drove me crazy...I mean it's REALLY ENDLESS..unless you KNOW to STOP...YIKES!! The NORMAL and ADVANCED modes..with 12 levels..come up at START... My problem is I have a lot MORE to do right now.. Thus, consider it an ADDICTION...
