bk,

i can relate to all of those at one time or another! but, i don't really have pms thank God. once every few months i may get a little cranky but as i get older for some reason, things have really mellowed out for me. when i was in my 20's though i was a major B*TCH during that time.

not so much now though.

maybe because i am just a major b*tch all the time now! wink hehe

Bob my heart goes out to you! Living with 1 woman with PMS is more than difficult living with more than 1 in synch or back to back PMS...FIND A HIDING PLACE! IT's dangerous territory!

Squid's PMS is LIKE armageddon too.

[CONTROVERSIAL MODE] I never understood why women get away with treating men, and pretty much every innocent bystander in their life like absolute crap for two weeks per month usually without an apology.

When I am stressed or feel like crap I stay away from people so they don't need to have me snap at them. Can't women do that ?
[/CONTROVERSIAL MODE}

We ARE possessed at that time. For me I don't even like myself.

This thread just made me realize my FWW's OM probably never had to go into a store to buy pads for her..."No thanks, ask your hubby, matter of fact, why don't you just stay home this weekend?"

Early in our marriage, my wife went through radical mood swings every month. Fall always seemed to be worse than spring, the middle of winter was bearable and summer was actually not too bad. The swings got worse and more pronounced over a period of about 6 months and then while at a cosmetics party with her sister, she noticed a small lump on her neck. Within a week it was as big as a golf ball. She had surgery within two days of seeing her doctor and they removed half of her thyroid.

The mood swings pretty much vanished at once. She doesn't even remember them today. Claims they never happened.

At one point in our marriage we lived on a farm. During that time her twin sister came to live with us after a divorce with her two daughters. That left me in a house with my wife, her twin, our daughter, my two nieces, a female cat and our male Irish Setter. Their other sister visited us almost every day with her daughter. The dog and I took a lot of long walks in those days and he would just hang around as I worked in the garden...I have no idea what the dog did when I had to travel for work...He was always there when I got home...

Bob -

Do a web search for Katie Ka-Boom .... You Tube has some samples. It's priceless.

Mr Pep & I used to refer to our DD as Katie when she was "crimp-ka-pus".

Crimp-ka-pus was a term used on the TV show Taxi. The character Latka Gravas (Andy Kaufman) was married to Simka Gravis (Carol Kane) ... and whenever Simka was having her period & acting grumpy, Latka would say "Simka is crimp-ka-pus."

It's one of those made up words that sounds like it's intended meaning.

Brilliant!

Pep (too old to be crimp-ka-pus ever again)
