Hi BC,
Glad to hear you are well.
Yep, I got 2-emails from Wayzilla through the holidays. One dingy one around her Birthday/Thanksgiving/D-Day too stupid to comment on and a second little sweet email wishing me a mostest happy birthday right after Christmas.
I did not reply to either. We have not spoken since June.
Thanksgiving and Christmas were far better that I ever expected they could be for DD20 and I. I got a little down on New Years due to the routine reflection that takes place around then. But I am over it now.
I don't think DD has heard from her Mom yet this year including New Years Day. I assume the happy rutting of Wayzilla and Gollum continues in all it's dripping glory.
Carry on my Cajun friend!
ETA:
BC, what is the timeline on your D now?
Did DS have a great Christmas?

1 year anniversary bump
What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was a complete wreck. Never felt pain like that in my entire life. Now I hardly have anything to report.
My life has moved on. I'm happy and healthy, DS3 (almost4) is happy and healthy, and my day to day is once again uneventful and boring. Just how I like it.
Signed DS3 up for T-ball last week. Planning his small Bday party in a few weeks.
Missed Mardi Gras for the most part. Every parade I could make got rained out.
Still doing all the things I enjoy when I have the time, but for the most part I'm really just sittin back and enjoying life again.
Divorce should be final sometime in Apr. Everythings pretty much settled, just waitin for the requried time to elapse.
Spent the last few days reading through my threads. Thanking God it's almost over. Still can't believe I went through all that and came out the other side smelling like a rose.
I still check in almost everyday, but rarely participate. Sometimes I want to jump in to a sitch that I can identify with and feel like I can help, but I've yet to do it. I think I will eventually, just trying to enjoy the peace right now.
I've noticed my Amigo's have also backed off a great deal around here. Looks like we're all movin on with our lives.
I was wrong about STBX in my prvious post. She's still with OM2. Somebody read a blog on her myspace and misinterpreted it. They showed it to me and I recognized her style. It was actually a love poem to him. No triggers though. He's kind of a goofy chump type with a good job, just what she needs to keep her away from me. I have no feelings or emotions for her anymore. When I let her go I never looked back. She still tries to make contact. Seems it's rarely about DS these days. I think she's scratchin at the door a little just to see if I still care, which I don't, which I think she's startin to get the hint. I've heard that happens alot when the divorce gets near. I pretty much blow her off as politely as possible, at least until the divorce is final.
Even though I'm in South Louisiana I'm gettin tired of winter. Ready for longer days and warmer days so I can get back in the yard with DS. We hardly ever get to play in the winter.
Hope everybody's doing well, it seems that way although some of my Amigos are still in the trenches.
Just wanted ya'll to know I'm still here if you need me.
Take Care

You sound really, really good, BC. Thanks for the update.
T-Ball is a blast! The first couple of games especially, when they don't know exactly what bases to run to, or when someone hits a ball into the outfield and all the kids, including the baserunners, chase after it. I love it.

Ok, quick update Divorce is right around the corner. STBX was served 04/16/07 so we can petition the divorce or whatever you call it 04/17/08, which is in a few days. Once the judge signs it it's finalized 2 weeks later, so I'm figuring early in May. Everything is settled, so we're just waiting the mandatory time limits. STBX is scraching at the door a little, indicates that she's about done with OM2. I wished her the best of luck. Really not interested in saving anything. Don't think she's really intersted either, but seems like the regret is setting in with her. Turns out the grass wasn't greener, who'da thunk it? As for me, baseball with DS everyday till dark, a few beers here and there, a cigar every now and then, about to get back into golf, past due for a fishing trip, Winter just didn't want to let up this year, but the weather's gettin there, it's about to be on again, really just enjoying my life and my child. I've actually done some dating, but it didn't take. Just added more mess that I really didn't need, so I'm back to just being still. Gonna try to hang tight another 6 months or so before I put it back out there. I'm in no hurry, gonna just let it happen when it happens. So that's about it. I feel good and I'm having fun, no complaints. Take Care

Well, it sounds like you have a plan. Nothing huge like peeing of a runaway truck ramp but you have to save some dreams for later.
I feel good and am having fun too. I still complain but what can you do?
Good to hear from you BC. Expect a little post D depression and reflection but you sound ready for it all.
My best to big J!

Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut

BC!!! It is good to hear an update from you! So are you still going to have primary custody of your son, or is it going to be split? I am glad you are doing well!

Chris, I peed on the golf course today, SWEET!! Also, the other day, I took some shrimp, wrapped it in bacon, put'em on skewers, grilled em, then slathered on some honey BBQ sauce. CA C'EST BON CHEVRETTE!! Mo Mo, good to hear from you, yes, I'm still primary domicillary and that won't be changing any time soon. STBX is doing much better, but is still struggling in many ways, so I don't see custody changing at all. I had a great weekend, hope everybody else did too Thanks for checking in!!

Good to hear your update. Our MB men always do just fine. Probably best to wait more time before dating. It will happen when you least expect it. Thanks for letting us know how things are going.

BC, Sorry for the late acknowledgement of your new 'status'. Hope the grieving went well:) It sounds like you have a balance to things in your life, which is wonderful! I am with you on the 'dating' thing. It will be right when it's right and until then, there's lots of life to live and enjoy! May you have many more days filled with your favorite activities! Chris, I peed on the golf course today, SWEET!! Not fair that we girls can't do that! Well,,, technically we could, but as Goddesses, it just wouldn't be proper!
