Mrs W, My pastor believes that when you are forgiven that it is as far as the east is from the west and that as I am forgiven God sees my past sin no more. I wish I could quote all the other supporting scripture I have been given. I have been through this with my pastor and his wife as well as the MC we tried to see. They all had the same view, that I am in fact married now and a second divorce wouldn't fix the mistakes of the first one.

I can't really debate with you about it (not that I am accusing you of trying to debate me!) because to be honest I am on decent footing with this one now, but not as solid as I would like to be in light of recent circumstances. This whole issue has put me in a bit of a tailspin. It is very hard not to feel like I am getting what I deserve. Maybe I am, but if I am it is a worldly consequence because I don't believe God punishes people.

Mizz, trust me I have repeated that old saying to myself a million times these last few weeks and I couldn't feel more embarassed or foolish.

It's hard enough to feel so betrayed and wonder if it is all your fault for not being a good enough wife, or enough of a woman to keep your man, but I have the added distress of reliving all of the guilt and having to feel like I don't have the right to be upset because I did this to someone else. Whether I was fully informed or not, whether I ever meant to or not, I was a part of causing this pain to someone else and it feels awful. I think maybe it may be a bit hard for other BS to feel sympathy for me here considering my past.

Still, I was hoping for some good advice on saving my marriage and working Dr. Harley's plan. It doesn't seem that many so far think there is much hope. I do appreciate the time and the honesty anyhow. We are all bound to have varying viewpoints and I think it is good to try to hear them all.

The problem that I see LMJ is that God never released your husband from his convenant with his first wife...Your husband did not have the Biblical right to remarry...Meaning that every single time that he sleeps with you he commits adultery...

And think about it, if I were to be say a murderer, repent of murdering someone but then continue to murder over and over, would that be okay? I don't think so...

Again, I just cannot reconcile an affair marriage with "Go and sin no more"...At what point did you turn from the sin? I don't see there being a statute of limitations on an affair...What began as an affair continues as an affair...I do not believe it will ever be a blessed union...I don't wish that life for you...

Mrs. W

Hang in here, Lost. Your sin is forgiven and not even remembered. Don't let the naysayers put you off.

Interesting Believer and Mimi...And if your husbands had left and married the OW you would both consider that to be a legitimate marriage? Surprising...

Yes believer I do...I turned from my sin...Came back to my husband...repented to him and God...In other words I followed the command to "Go and sin no more"...

Thank you all for the support. Please though, let us not argue about this. Mrs. W is entitled to her opinion and I respect that. Thing is my husband's ex-wife divorced him and has moved on with her life and is now also remarried so it isn't like I can really give him back.

I do believe that God forgives all of us if we humble ourselves before Him and He knows my heart.
