Did the beach once. At night. On Cape Cod. You could compare it to snow.

Hi Cinderella, Goddess of the Lawn Mower!

I absolutely LOVE to mow the lawn!!
I never thought of being a GODDESS of the lawn mower!!
Great idea.

I need to mow mine but we are re-vamping the sprinkler system so there is still stuff all over and things that need finished before we can put it all away.

Lawn Mower Goddess....I like that.

Get yourself over here immediately....I don't like being goddess of the lawn mower. Half an acre. Gently sloping. Too tall. Poison ivy out there. 83 degrees. Some holes where tree stumps have rotted. And a walk-behind lawnmower.

Great....no gas in the can. No cash on me today. Just had to come in and scrub my hands because that little weed, hidden among the big ones, was poison ivy.

Folks, anyone wanna come weed my yard. Just squirt that particular weed w/ something that is systemically toxic.
PLEASE!!!!!

83 degrees!! LUCKY!!

LOL, your lawn sounds a bit like mine. Mine's all dry now because it didn't rain for a long time until Friday, FINALLY!! It's not all cultivated grass, some is still prairie grass so it gets sparse growth, little tufts here and there.

Really doesn't need mowing but the city b*ches even about the tufts sometimes. And I like to mow but I hate adding to the pollution problem. I guess now I can get that electric mower I've been wanting forever but Gray griped about that they were no good...blah blah blah. (As IF he had even been mowing the lawn AT ALL when he was still here!)

If I lived closer to you I'd be happy to take out that poison ivy for you. I have immunity from Mom AND Dad so I could pull that puppy right outta there!!

Oh Cinderella, that is nasty!
Can you spray out poison ivy? We don't have it here.

That is hot weather! We had 88 yesterday and we are at 6500 ft. elevation. Pretty sweltering. Today is 80. 10 days ago it was no more than 40 degress, now 80. We don't get the humidity like that. It is more humid today but not like that (I don't think, I never hear anything about our humidity, but we don't have any local news or weather stations either)

I have an acre yard (minus 2 houses) but not a push mower. Part of the renovation on the sprink system is so we can put in planting beds and then I will have less grass. Not much less, but less. I've been waiting a long time to get this part of the yard landscaped, so I am excited about it! We just planted a row of raspberries the other day...so fun.

Better go see if it is time to clean up the yard mess.....

Ran out of gas w/ front yard half cut. Yuck!!! Gotta go get more. We had a drip line irrigation system but it died from old age. Nearly 20 years ago, we spent $3000 on landscaping. That didn't survive H leaving. I do not care for yardening.

I had a job mowing grass when I was a student. I am sorry but there are no money on this earth that could make me mow more grass than I have to, lol. The biggest problem I ran into was not poison ivy but insects. Once a wasp stung me and I ended up with a 4 inches wide bite on my leg which hurt like crazy.

Cinderella, do you enjoy your garden except for the lawn mowing?

Yes. I haven't the patience to teach him how to do this. I get tired of telling him repeatedly to do chores and then he does them half way.

So what is HE doing while you're out there in the yard?

Are you preparing him to be a GREAT HUSBAND?

He is at his father's for the week.

Last week, he got up and went in to my office every morning. At lunch, I took him to art camp and then his dad picked him up.

Hmmmm - I guess I must renew my efforts. See, his dad knows how to do all this stuff that I find anathema. And we all know his dad's not here. I guess we gotta get on the same page with this. If I go to work and earn the money for his food and housing, son needs to get w/ the plan. Perhaps it is time for more manly man lessons from his dad.

Yes, I know that's passing the buck but I don't know how to wind the string on the weedeater. I can't teach him because I don't know.

He will do it when there is enough financial incentive. But, he doesn't do it well.

Don't leave it up to his Dad. He learns how to treat a woman from you. That would include taking care of the yard for her. MY BOYS KNOW HOW TO TREAT A GODDESS!! grin

Well, he'll learn PARTS of it from YOU. YOU will help them learn about a woman's EMOTIONAL NEEDS, including DOMESTIC SUPPORT...
