I did a goddessy thing this evening!
Cooked dinner just for myself!
Sauteed some salmon filets in olive oil w/ a little salt, pepper, and dill
Steamed some fresh snow peas and seasoned them w/ salt and pepper, butter, and feta cheese
Steamed some mixed rice
Had a glass of wine
Now, it's time for some moose tracks ice cream!!!

And, ladies, it only gets better!!!
Today, I did the following:
Slept late
Had an ice cafe' for breakfast
Had yogurt w/ blueberries, strawberries, kiwi and granola for lunch
Got a massage from the massage therapist who works for chiropractor and actually knows what my achey breakys are
Got a manicure
Got a pedicure
Had dinner and a glass of wine with a friend I've known since 1st grade
Then, the friend and I went to see "Get Smart"
Yup, I'm a goddess!!!!!

I have always wanted to grow up to be Agent 99. So, she gets into scrapes and has to have assistance but she is as smart, if not smarter, than the guys. She's good looking. And, she has great clothes.
Well, same thing happens in the movie. Adventures, scrapes, triumphs, great wardrobe, good grooming.......perfect.
And, it was funny.
Not going to go down in the books as the best movie of the year but it was great escapist pleasure.

OK, so my anniversary was recently, and I took it a lot better than I thought I would. Since I'm still M (nothing signed at all yet), I figured I would celebrate the 35 year mark with a filet mignon. So, bought one on the way home and had that with salad and a little vino. It was a nice night so I ate out on the deck.
Yesterday went out for dinner with a couple of friends (Watermelon Gazpacho and crab cakes) and saw the movie And Then She Found Me.

9/07 - Dday #3. Still lying and sneaking around. Plan B implemented WH wants nothing to do with me

Chai: You would appreciate this... I read the special PERSONAL STYLE ISSUE of INSTYLE MAGAZINE this morning.. For women 50+: Don't ever ignore your birthday, apologize for maturity, or grow older gracefully. Do it FABULOUSLY. The smartest thing to do over 50 is dress as if every day is a special one. Try it: You'll be surprised at how often it is true. Of course, this was speaking to ME and I was LISTENING...LOL...
I made it happen..a joyful life..filled with peace, contentment, happiness and fabulocity.

Hi, I name is Lil, and I'm a wanna be goddess.:)
I went to the hairdressers today and got foils done, and a hair cut. I got out of my trackies, and put on my tight black jeans and maroon ankle boots. I forgot the make up tho. Sorry.

Hi Lil, Why should you be sorry? I don't think that is a goddessy attitude. Be proud instead. You did lots of things yesterday. You can add the make up today or tomorrow. How did your foils turn out? I want to be a goddess too. Some days I have time to doll up but some days I am busy with other important things

Ladies, by loving yourself, you are goddesses - makeup or not. You don't need cute clothes, great makeup, and more to be a goddess. It is a state of mind.

Hi why Us, I am not sure why but i thought being a goddess was looking glam and fab. Ok, screw the makeup, i look good without it as well. generally only wear eyeliner anyway. Foils turned out great. I am getting blonder each time. hairdresser says another two times and we will just be doing roots and combing solution thru the rest.

Oh my, I just found this thread! Yay for there being Goddesses even here. Ladies, you are remarkable.
I'm having a distinctly non-goddessy day, but isn't it wierd how post d-day can get pretty goddessy? Here's what I've done 'just for me' since d-day.....all things I haven't done since I had my first baby 4 years ago:
Got my nose re-pierced (IC raised his eyebrows and said at least it wasn't a tattoo, then said it suited my face well!).
Bought a new bathing suit (was still wearing those frumpy maternity ones)
Bought and now wear anklets and toe rings!
Went to a musical with Mum and two friends.
Got the last season of S&TC on Netflix.
Did my nails AND kept them maintained for more than a week (Sorry, honey, can you do the dishes again? Nails. Love you!).
Cinder, wish you were cooking at my house! Your dinner sounds lovely. What was the wine? Looking forward to having a Goddess moment every now and then on MB. Thanks, beautiful ladies.
Amen. So be it. Welcome, O life! I go to encounter for the millionth time the reality of experience and to forge in the smithy of my soul the uncreated conscience of my race. -James Joyce

I thought about getting my belly redone, too...mine also got all yucky and infected (very sexy, let me tell you!). I'd need to get said belly back into 'public viewing' shape. I had two kids in just over a year and both of them left behind 'leftovers', the sods.
That said, I have thought about another tattoo....do you regret yours, or is it a good one? I have one on my ankle...ivy vine all around.
I noticed that your dates are all the 'right' way. Do you hail from closer to 0 latitude?

I am from new Zealand, and yes thank you for noticing my dates are around the right way Sometimes i read others and i get very confused I have 3 'good' tattoos and one homejob. I dont really regret any except for the biggest and its not so much regret, as sadness that it was not what i had wanted. I had gone into a guy who was advertising on the radio station my (at the time) DH (now WH) worked at and asked him to do two cherubs, one red head one blonde to symbolise my DD's. He did such a horrible job they looked like demons more than angels. So i went to another chappy, highly recommended and he said if I would let him take before and after shots to advertise what the other guy had done (cos i was about the 5th person who had come in) he would do a $500 cover up for $80. so now i have two roses with tribal and thorns. Its huge, goes from hip to halfway up my ribcage, and almost belly button to small of back. And its still not finshed, ribs hurt.;)
