WHY did he name the rock Jorge? Because it was curious about what the inside of his ear looked like? Wasn't there a book about that--Jorge el Curioso?

Also, I went to the lady doc today to begin investigations as to whether I have succumbed to the family tendency for fibroids, and figured I might as well have my yearly tests done while I was at it. Grandpa had to go with me.
"Should I wait out here?"
"Yes, Grandpa." And thinking, "...unless you are planning to attend your first ever PAP smear."
I'm scheduled for a pelvic sono next Tuesday, so we'll see if anything turns up. Truly, it would be a relief if it did, because then I would know the cause of the trouble and what could be done about it.
But no PAP smears for GP.

I had to call the lady doc today (only I really called the nurse). For some reason, I am tired of my nearly 6 week long period. Maybe my ovaries or uterus have developed hyperactivity or something. (As an ADD adult, w/ an ADD daughter and an ADHD son, I can say that.)
I never know what to expect each day.
So, I have some medication to try to bring it under control. We had to try this a few years ago. That medicine made me ill....dizzy, nauseated, exhausted. I hope this new one doesn't. It's not good when the cure is worse than the problem.

6 wks is definitely way too long. Ask about a progesterone-based treatment. I have taken them before with none of the adverse side effects I suffered with standard BC pills. (Lots of vomiting, for one thing.)
Scary thing, and the world will never be the same. The Dervish, uh I mean Little Christian, helped his Grandpa fashion a little sword for him for the VBS play. Now that he knows that all sorts of things can be made from scratch with metal, life as we know it is over. Thank you, Dad.

Yeah, got some progesterone based meds. The last time this happened, they prescribed something different and you could have laid my out and put some lilies in my hand and I wouldn't have protested too much. But, the pharmacist says this is different stuff. It's been tricky because you never knew what was gonna happen each day.

Act 1 went very well, and I can't wait to see it on a larger screen. It had several very funny moments, but one of my favorites was when Little Christian fell in the Slough of Despond, and his lapel mike went KKKKKKKKKKKKCHHHHHHKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
Only 2 more days till Act 3.

Maybe you could sing this to him and then the sword could "disappear"? I'm gonna Lay down my sword and sheild Down by the riverside down by the riverside down by the riverside I'm gonna lay down my sword and sheild down by the riverside and study war no more I'm gonna talk to the Prince of Peace down by the riverside down by the riverside down by the riverside I'm gonna talk to the Prince of Peace down by the riverside and study war no more My kids love this song. It's often requested by the boys instead of a lullaby.

AJ says hi to everyone, and he misses you.
Tonight the play wrapped up, and the Dervish did indeed lay down his sword and shield by the riverside. (After getting netted by the Flatterer, and almost turned the wrong way by Unbelief.)
Then singing the theme song, "The Captain Calls for You", in which he only knew some of the words, but sure could holler "VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!!" right into the microphone.
Neaksiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis, WHERE are the pictures???????????

She did get better soon, but I was horrified to see that norovirus is still contagious 3 DAYS after symptoms disappear!!!!
This morning early, the Dervish, who ended up in my bed as usual, was mumbling to himself in his sleep. After a moment, I could make out the words.
"Good! He didn't hear! I will try again, and not stop until this lock is open."
Apparently the Giant Despair makes house calls.
