Warned you guys I was going to lean on you a bit. Why doesn't the stupid washing machine just have and ON and Off button. What the heck are all the "cycles?" I picked permanent press cause I figured that means the washer does the ironing too, right? I'm definitely out of my comfort zone here! All Blessings, Jerry

psssssssssst, Jer, all ya have to do is to put it all in a trash bag and take it to the cleaners! They do a great job on laundry. I hope you aren't eating brownies for your supper like my DH does when I am OOT?

Why doesn't the stupid washing machine just have and ON and Off button. What the heck are all the "cycles?" LMAO!! OK, crash course in laundry...just put it on the regular wash cycle-no need to make things difficult! Whites get hot water, grays/lighter color clothes get warm water, and dark clothes go in cold water. You will prolly see the temps look like this: H/C, which means it will wash the clothes in hot and rinse them in cold. Or, take them to the cleaners like Mel said---that works, too!!

LOL! Good grief! MEN! Don't dry the whites if you de-whitened them (hehehe)...put them (BY THEMSELVES) back into the washer, put it on COLD this time and put in some bleach. That might whiten them again. If you did dry them, you're, um, well...headed for Kohl's!

Thanks all, In keeping with celebrating tonight, I ordered delivery, stayed home and feel asleep half way through the Red Sox game. I can see this granpa role is going to fit me to a tee. All Blessings, Jerry

OK,
I think I am going to take myself out to dinner tonight. I feel like I have cabin fever.
I have just learned that my grandson's middle name is Tsambiko.
Now I'm sure many of you are scratching yur head over that one, as was I. So here is the story behind that.
My son and DIL were vacationing last September in Rhodes, Greece. They went exploring and found this stairway (sort of) leading up a mountain. They followed the stairs which were 307 stairs each about 100 ft wide. At the end they found a tiny and unembelished little chapel.
They thought well why not go inside and say a few prayers. The chapel was know as the Our Lady of Tsambika. After praying for a while, my son noticed that there were pictures of of small infants pasted all over the inside walls of this chapel.
He soon came to realize that this was in fact the world renowned chapel where women who were barren and could not concieve, would come to pray for a conception.
My son and DIL were in no particular hurry to have children, but were also at the same time ready to do so when God saw fit.
One month later my DIL was pregnant. Part of the tradition of this chapel, was that you name your first born after the chapel. Tsambika if a girl, and Tsambiko if a boy. My son decided, not to take any chances and thus my grandson's middle name is Tsambiko. I'll get used to it (LOL).
Thanks to so many of you who put up with the anxiety and rantings of an expectant grandpa, so many miles away.
Now to get that laundry done and clean up the house. good grief!
All Blessings, Jery
