Oh, and one more thing. The movie was WAY better than the book.
Widowed 11/10/12 after 35 years of marriage ********************* In a sense now, I am homeless. For the home, the place of refuge, solitude, love-where my husband lived-no longer exists. Joyce Carolyn Oates, A Widow's Story

We saw the movie today.
My H was TEARFUL throughout almost THE ENTIRE MOVIE.
It seems that it was emotionally draining for him and he has not talked about it AT ALL. He doesn't TALK MUCH about his FEELINGS so I just let him be.
For some reason, it didn't touch me at that same level as it did him. I was TEARFUL in spots. I think I'm REALLY finished with it all moreso than my husband.
You see, once my H turned the corner in RECOVERY...6 months to a year into it... he was much like Kirk Cameron in the movie. He did almost all that stuff for me...made me coffee, cleaned the house, bought me flowers and flowers and cards and cards....and lots of other MORE SIGNIFICANT stuff, like Kirk did to EVIDENCE his REPENTANCE and to make REPARATIONS to his wife...
So TODAY, it made CLEAR to me that his ACTIONS have worked and I have TRULY FORGIVEN him and I am HEALED of it...
I continue to suffer MORE now from other losses in my life since THEN...like the deaths of MY BELOVED GRANDPARENTS...
I FEEL BLESSED that WE ARE TRULY RECOVERED...
It can happen and did happen...I TRUSTED IN THE LORD WITH ALL MY HEART...I put my FAITH in HIM and received HIS BLESSINGS...I listened to THE SPIRIT when HE said to me in the midnight hours, "I will take care of you"...
I made it happen..a joyful life..filled with peace, contentment, happiness and fabulocity.
