Thanks, Mimi. If he was bigger, I would call him my rock when I went thru my FWH's EA. He would sit on my lap and look at me as if he "understood". As it ends up he was my little "pebble"
He was my little 15 lb protector when I was sick. He would prance around the bed and face off anyone whe entered my room..FWH nd all!! He is soooo funnty. GF

hug GF hug

I don't know anything to say except "I care" - - I have never dealt with that problem. I have lost pets but have never dealt with seizures. I have already said a prayer for you and your 'baby'.

GF,

My Boston has seizures and is also on Pheno twice daily. Haven't noticed any since she started the meds though. She is a lot younger than your baby, which may be why it works so well for her.

I will pray for your little one....

Would someone zap me forward a few weeks?

I think I've started having hot flashes...not bad but something's going on.

And, my dermatologist prescribed this medication that you have to take at least 1 hour before eating or two hours after eating; you can't take it less than 2 - 3 hours before or after taking your vitamins; and, it can cause dizziness, drowsiness, headaches, and tummy issues. I only have 3 more weeks of this.

Oh boy. Put your seat belt on and get prepared for the ride. It's a doozie.

There is nothing I like about this ride.

The periodically being hot is bad enough.

The semi-permanent headache is bad enough.

The dizziness is bad enough.

The tummy not being real happy is bad enough.

But, add it all together and it's HORRIBLE.

Oh my! I think I figured out that I used to work with the sister of Ann Patchett, a writer with several best sellers to her name. At on time, I had some work duties which were, for political reasons, reassigned to Heather Patchett. Ann has a sister named Heather. There are other reasons for me to think I've got this right.

I do too....Bel Canto was incredible (all those political twists)....Magician's Assistant was very interesting with the myriad relationships. I'm reading Truth & Beauty right now.

That's how I made the connection. At about the right time, I worked with a Heather Patchett (AP has a sister named Heather)who would have been about the right age in the right geographical location. What are the odds?

I'm not sure I've read that one. "Truth and Beauty" is so weird you wouldn't believe it. Just weird - true story about her friendship with Lucy. It's weird - maybe because I can't remember ever having such a friendship.

I just won an award!!!!!!

I won a PRIZE!!!!

A tangible prize!!!!!!!

I won the award for "Most Bizarre Use of Pumpkin" in the pumpkin cooking contest at church tonight.....for Pumpkin Sausage Lasagna.

Pumpkin Sausage Lasagna

Estimated Time(s):
Preparation: 20 min Cooking: 50 min
Ingredients

1 container (15 ounces) light ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons BUITONI® Refrigerated Freshly Shredded Parmesan
Cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
12 ounces sweet or hot light turkey sausage casings removed
3/4 cup LIBBY'S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 container (15 ounces) BUITONI® Refrigerated Roasted Garlic
Marinara Sauce
8 no-boil lasagna noodles
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese divided
1/3 cup hot water

Directions
PREHEAT oven to 350° F.

COMBINE ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese and seasoning in medium bowl; mix well.

HEAT large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook, stirring to break into pieces, until browned. Transfer sausage to paper towel-lined plate to drain.

ADD pumpkin, wine and broth to skillet; cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until bubbly. Stir in sauce and sausage; heat through.

SPREAD 1 cup sauce mixture over bottom of 11 x 7-inch or 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Top with 4 lasagna noodles. Spread 1 cup ricotta mixture over noodles. Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Spread 1 cup sauce mixture over mozzarella cheese; top with remaining 4 lasagna noodles, remaining ricotta mixture and remaining sauce mixture. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Pour water around edges of lasagna. Cover with foil.

BAKE for 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

NOTE: Can substitute BUITONI Refrigerated Marinara Sauce. If this is preferred, add 2 cloves finely chopped garlic when cooking sausage.

Ann Patchett. For real. I recognized her from last weekend. She had on a coat that she should have avoided.

Rode the elevator down with her (went to symphony) and talked before we got on...while we were on it...and afterward. I did work with her sister. The room was stinky hot where she did her presentation. We talked about her line she used that was great advice for life. And we talked about my bizarre experience at the book festival where I was the only audience member who made it all the way through the presentation.

She is a real person....at the symphony with her parents.
