Yeah....But that coat, though fashionable, was not anything my daughter or I would have bought.....a red bubble coat...like a shiny balloon valance.

There have been other authors who lived here.

Red Grooms, an artist living in New York, went to high school where my son goes.

I saw Vince Gill driving a little white Mercedes several years ago.

We're talking about a deepish orangy red single breasted coat with lots of detailing above the waist, a tall shirt-type collar that came almost up to her ears, a belt like a trench coat, and a poufy skirt that hung like a cross between a balloon valance and a lampshade. There was nothing about this coat that merited anything other than donation to a thrift store.

But, she was very pleasant. Acted like she remembered seeing us. Yeah, we were only a small drop in the bucket last week and that was only one of how many presentations each year....

Think of yourself as attractive. No one has the right to judge how you look but you, and if you decide to be good-looking then that is what you will portray and that is what you will be!

Well, you should have seen me yesterday working in the pumpkin patch at church. I was a true 'fashion don't' but I had a good time and was happy. I even took a boombox and my hula hoop. Hooping among the pumpkins in front of a church on one of the busiest roads on this side of town. I felt marvelous! Even if I would have embarassed my daughter.

GOOD FOR YOU, CINDERS!!
flirt

But it's NOT OK to do that EVERYDAY and EVERYWHERE!!

You get a PASS on the PUMPKIN PATCH with your HULA HOOP and BOOMBOX...not at the MALL..K?...

Yeah.....I KNOW better than that! After my stint in the pumpkin patch, I went to the grocery store then to some friends house. They didn't roll their eyes - I told them where I spent my afternoon and they took it well....especially since I brought the chips and salsa (mix jar of medium salsa, can of drained whole corn, and can of drained black beans). They loved my salsa even if they didn't love my look.

Oh, I was wearing my "Our Lady of Perpetual Responsibility" t-shirt. It was SO appropriate.

Mimi, I was none too happy about it but I was pleased to run into no one that I knew. It wasn't my usual grocery store. Do I get credit for going to a store at which I do not often shop?

I don't know....you know, I'd been hula hooping and knitting in the pumpkin patch for 3.5 hours. I'd had a good time. I was smiling.

Then, no! I wasn't smelly. I never smell. Unless I just put on my cologne.

BEAUTY TIP OF THE DAY from IGoogle

"Be fashionable. This one is a given, but a lot of people don't realize how wrong they are in the clothes they wear. Learn about your body type, height, skin tone and preferences. Discover yourself, and fashion will come to you."

I am going to be the pretty, pretty popcorn princess prancing 'round the party tomorrow evening. I volunteered to do man the popcorn machine at a birthday party tomorrow evening.

My children are gone tonight (to their dad's)

Gotta get ready for Fall Fest at church Sunday night. I was going to make a mermaid costume and decorate my car like a yellow submarine but it ain't gonna happen in this lifetime (this year). So, I will set out my inflatable pumpkin and ghost (they are only 3-4' tall). Get out my PVC skeleton. Fill my plastic bag pumpkin-man.

May go by fabric store and get some sheer material to make a sort of dress thing from and wear that over black pants and black turtleneck with some fairy wings. Think that would be ok?
