No.

On the CVR they are trying to get a link to the the ATC that gave them the wrong frequency and squawk code. They were also given the bearing and altitude to be at by the ATC.

They ATC also gave a bad info to the 737 and nobody was watching the radar or more than likely poorly trained.

They converged at a combined speed at impact of around 1000mph, there was no way to evade even if either party had spotted the other.

BOTH planes were equipped with collision avoidance and neither was on.

It was EVERYBODY'S fault. They are merely prosecuting the American pilots because they are Americans.

I did read the article and listened to both CVR recordings and I don't doubt that there's a lot of fault to be assigned to multiple parties. I was curious about your opinion since you're a pilot.

As I recall from the article, the 737 had it's transponder and anti-collision device on, but the small plane did not, and that the anti-collision relies on transponders being on.

A real shame to be sure.
