Well, I used to cook in my sweats. But Miss Mimi got me over that. No, tomorrow I will be up and showered and dressed beautifully by 6:00 AM. Complete with my apron.

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

I bought a new dress and apron for the occasion.

The APRON is a NICE TOUCH..does it MATCH or COLOR-COORDINATED with the DRESS?

Thanks why. I think it was a good choice too. I'm so happy with my new bras. Amazing how good you look in sweaters with the right bra!! Also amazing how comfortable they are. Who knew?

I pitched all of the old ones!! Onward and upward as they say grin

Believer, I'm going to spend Thanksgiving lunch with my mom in her nursing home. I have to get over the "gross me out" factor (they miss their mouths, talk with food in them and it runs out etc). The one lady that she sits with talks constantly but makes no sense. It's tough, but fun too.

My new friend (neighbor) invited me to dinner at her brother's house, so I accepted. Normally I don't, but I need to start getting out more so thought I would go. I won't know anyone and will feel wierd, but hey, it's time to quit sitting at home alone.

So, two Thanksgiving meals today should do wonders for the fit of my jeans (which are already hard to button), and my energy level.

I've done two Thanksgiving dinners in one day.

Be glad you have someone to spend it with. My children left an hour ago and I'm now home alone until Sunday. Well, there are the cats and the dog.

Chai - You will never regret spending time in the nursing home with your mother. And I know exactly what you mean. When my MIL was in there, I visited with my 2 sons - one a baby, the other 3, every day.

It got where there were old folks lined up to greet us at the door, and they LOVED the kids. I got involved with picking up things at garage sales for Bingo prizes. It was lots of fun, and they really appreciated any little thing.

When MIL got out, I used to see 2 of the residents at the shopping center. They were on state aid, and got to leave during the day, but only had $1.00 a day for spending money. They used to ask for change and great me like a family member.

I hope you all had a nice day yesterday.

ChaiLover, I am glad that you took the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with your mother. I am sure it means a lot to her to have you there. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving dinner too with your new friends!

Tonight, I put on my makeup and a shirt in one of the school colors then drove to my son's school to volunteer in the concession stand at a football game. Once there I put on my official 'concession stand queen' tiara and worked diligently for 4.5 hours.

Cinders, you are such an inspiration with the make up girl.

I have been so slack on that lately. Just haven't felt like it, HOWEVER, I have been more of the domestic GODDESS last few days. My entire apt was cleaned from top to bottom, my bedroom rearranged and I'm cross stiching again. I miss that....

ABSOLUTELY, Cinders is an INSPIRATION!!

Queenie,

What do you mean you haven't felt like it? Takes a few minutes in the morning after you brush your teeth. You're brusning your teeth, correct???

You're not getting a pass on this, Queenie...

Well Miss Mimi, you haven't posted to me in over a month and it takes the thought of me not brushing my teeth to hear from you.

Naw, I'm hanging on for awhile. wink

I miss you too much..

You didn't answer my question...

What do you mean you haven't felt like it?

Are you brushing your teeth?

Well, then, you can put on your makeup...

Ladies, I kid you not when I talk about that tiara....they were given a stash of tiaras for the women to wear while working the concession stand. dance2

Mimi, I do "hear you" sometimes when I start to head out looking less than good. Yeah, I'm trying more. Thanks!

You are actually right. No surprise there. I just have gotten lazy and just put up my hair and walk out the door.

Tomorrow I'll wake up and see how much I can accomplish....and check in on here with my accountability until it becomes a bit more of a habit.

I love the tiara idea! Of course you are the Queens of the Concession stand, no doubt about that.

Queenie, have you found some makeup that you really like? I did not like to wear makeup because my face felt dirty and it clogged my skin. Now I use mineral makeup and I don't even feel it. But I also think that you should wear makeup because it makes you feel good about yourself and not just because you are supposed to.

Trust me, when I do put my makeup on, I don't spend a lot of time on it. Not as much as I did in the BC era - - Before Children.

Well as promised, I got up earlier this morning, did my hair, mascara and lipstick.

Not bad for Monday morning, for this GODDESS....
