Cinders and Queenie:

You guys must have that NATURAL BEAUTY...or the GIFT OF YOUTH...

There's NO CHOICE for ME..I look SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER with my makeup on that's it's not even an option for me not to wear it...

I timed it..only takes me about 10 minutes...and VOILA..."I'M BACK" from the DEAD...

Hey, if it matters, I might spend more than 2 or 3 minutes on it. However, if it's not a special whoopdedoo, you better enjoy the fact that I spent that 2 or 3 minutes.

Cinders,

Are you saying that you want me to ENJOY you putting on makeup?
I'm not that kinda girl...

rotflmao

BTW, my H SEEMS to ENJOY watching me put it on..he shows up to watch almost every single morning... blush

A FANTASY that I'm dressing up for HIM? Come to think of it, I haven't questioned WHY..

Oh, that would be a nice change. One of these days I want a man who adores me.

Good morning Miss Mimi,

There is NO WAY I'm going there with natural beauty.

I'll say that I don't need make up to make me look prettier. I am truly blessed with wonderful skin, just the right natural blush and with my tan, I'm good to go.

Just the enhancements of mascara and lipstick.....Which is done for the second day in a row. hurray

But there are those moments when a cat eyes on this girl just knocks off my eyes and I am GORGEOUS.....

faint Did I actually just say this.

I just had a flashback to share with you guys....

I, too, have GREAT SKIN..still do at age 54 (as of Thursday..YUCK)...never have had many blemishes...

Antyways, didn't start wearing ANY MAKEUP AT ALL...NADA..NOTHING.until age 35...because....

Here's the flashback:

My father asked me why I didn't wear ANY..at least some lipstick..

I told him that my husband liked me "NATURAL"..

My father told me to ASK HIM...

I was DEAD WRONG...

Not only did my H want me to wear it..he set me up an appt. at a cosmetics counter as soon as I asked him...

I've worn makeup ever since...

I guess by age 35, after meeting my husband at age 18...STUFF had changed...

----------------------------------------------------------------

TODAY..my H still likes for me to "FIX UP"..He may like the "FIX UP" part for HIM moreso than me actually wearing makeup...

I don't know what it is...

Must be a MAN thing...

I realize that every man is not like MY HUSBAND..

HE is into the PHYSICAL ATTRACTION thingy ...a MAJOR NEED of HIS..

But what's so interesting is...SO WAS MY FATHER...who was quite a "LADY'S MAN"...YUCK...

I can certainly relate to this Mimi,

I did just that YEARS AGO.

In fact, when we first got into the Amway business I had make-up applied to see what I would look like because H had always told me he liked the natural look and I didn't wear any...

So fixed up I got. And almost everyone LOVED the difference or at least said it. NOT hubby, NO NO NO.... His comment was to look straight at me, look me over and say well it's different in that judgemental tone he used on me when he called me stupid in his own way.

Needless to say I was horribly embarrased because not only did I pick up on it, BUT everyone else who heard it.

Now if he was into physical attraction I can tell you without a DOUBT, he didn't improve his choices in OW. Miss looking over 55 because she is a CRACK HO.... faint puke rant2

Well, my x married a woman who was not an intruder in our marriage but wife #2 isn't as attractive, well educated, or well-cultured as me.

All this would have been unneeded if he had done what he was supposed to. But that is water over the dam now. And I wouldn't have him back even if I could have him on a silver tray with an apple in his mouth.

I would say PHYSICAL ATTRACTIVENESS is not high on your WH's list.. faint

But, I have you to know that there are plenty of FOXY LADIES over 55...as in Mimi turning 54....FABULOUS AFTER 50 as Bugsy would say... lashes

cinderella, mimi, queenie: FWIW, I always think of you as gorgeous lashes

I realized when I read the last posts that maybe I will recover from the affair. One year ago I would have started ranting about OW but I did not even think about it. My only thought was that everything about the affair and OW is boring and I have other things to do cool
I don't feel any need to compare myself to OW BUT she is still a skank and that is something I will never be.

Today's look:
Black v-neck knitted sweater, knee-length jeans skirt, my bordeaux colored knee-high boots, cute jewellery and of course tasteful makeup.

Queenie, you've got that Hanukkah emoticon you asked for but it's not working yet. I've notified JustUss to see if it can be fixed.

I have just returned from Breakfast with Santa at church. It was fun and chaotic. The children, mostly preschoolers, had lots of fun. I read picture books about Auntie Claus, Space Elf Sam, and the Angel Pig.

Good morning Cinders,

sounds like you have had a busy morning. I went to my AA meeting, and then tanned this morning. Am sitting here getting ready to do some cross stich and wait for the boys to get up and go to costco.

I think that I have been a bit too lax on my aa meetings and am planning to go to one again tonight.

This morning is lacrosse registration and I noticed that I have been dropped from the email list letting us know. My selfish, self-centered mind is hurt, because I still have a child who plays. But like all things, when my ego gets involved, I ask G-d to remove my crap and help me just let it be and not get a resentment. Their loss....

What's on tap for you today, busy woman?
