Next year you need to get a tree.....Hey, they're on sale now. Go get a 75% off tree and you'll be set for next year....even if it's a small one.

Well..HEY THERE, LADIES!!

Today is my D-DAY ANNIVERSARY..not sure I would recall it each year if it wasn't on NEW YEAR'S EVE...YUCK...

I wanted to share this on OUR THREAD..

In DISHONOR of the the FOW on this day..I've been GODDESSY today...

I dressed myself up in an OUTFIT that I knew my husband would particularly LIKE..nothing VERY SPECIAL..just stuff I know that gets to him...if you know what I mean... blush

He had to go off to do some business..and has been calling me repeatedly since he's been gone..for no special reason..."I'll be HOME soon"... blush

It's called..THE ART OF SEDUCTION....

Should be an interesting evening...

A LIFETIME AWAY FROM 2002...

Turns out that I am comparing the THEN and NOW...

Back in THAT DAY..when he left home, I wasn't sure when I'd see him again..could be the next day...

THAT PARTICULAR NIGHT..I went looking for him and found him THERE...YUCK..

NOW, he keeps calling ME..just to talk...

It's a BLESSING..a MIRACLE...

comparing THE DARKNESS..with THE LIGHT...

I didn't look so goddessy today but I took care of myself. Had a second opinion w/ different ENT then I went to a football game I wanted to attend....all by myself. And, by the 4th quarter, I had worked myself up to cheering.....I went just for ME!!!

Well, Happy New Year, goddesses! I'm starting out on the right track so far - exercising to get rid of any holiday bulges.

Also, I'm FASCINATED with yoga, especially the SF aspect. Does anyone here do it? Apparently, you can practice and SF gets TWICE as good!!!!!!!!!

I was watching a show yesterday where men in Japan do yoga, and get so good at it that they can lift bricks with their member!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it.

"Mindfulness - an awareness of the present moment, also a key component in yoga -- proved especially beneficial in a study, cited in the article, that asked women to study pennies in detail. The coins were then collected, and each woman was asked to find her original penny. Every woman was successful. "In our experience, (nearly) all women feel that they have a problem with remaining focused; they are highly distractible," the article states. "However, after this penny exercise, they accept the notion that they can focus their mind if they so choose." The study then went on to encourage body-awareness exercises, which eventually had a sexual goal."

Yeah, a fine lot of good improved SF would be for me..... sigh However, I can comprehend how yoga may improve SF. As for me, you can't improve what you do not have.

What a GREAT COINCIDENCE...

My FAVORITE BOOK these days..that I am SAVORING...

EMOTIONAL ALCHEMY: HOW THE MIND CAN HEAL THE HEART by Tara Bennett-Goleman

It's about the TRANSFORMATIVE POWER of MINDFULNESS...

I LOVE THIS BOOK and have learned so much from it.

I'll try to get that book, Mimi. I have a Thai friend that lived with the monks and is always telling me about mindfulness. At first, I didn't even know what it is, but going to practice it.

Listen to this...

Quote
...in the training of the mind we learn to let go of the thoughts and feelings that pull us out of the present moment..emphasis is not so much on the problems in our lives as on the connecting wtih the clarity and health of the mind itself. If we can do this, our problems become workable, opportunities to learn rather than threats to avoid...The emphasis is on what is RIGHT with us..acknowledges our disturbing emotions but sees them as covering our ESSENTIAL GOODNESS...

Ahhhh..I LOVE THIS...

Quote
..our darker moments and most upsetting feelings are an opportunity for uncovering our natural wisdom, if we choose to use them that way...

I do yoga on Wii Fit...does that count? I love breathing and being so aware of my body...it's wonderful.

I love the Wii and our family gets so much use out of it! We don't have to pay to go bowling, we can play it on the Wii. It's great. And, WiiFit is nice too because you don't feel like you are working out alone. I would definitely say get a Wii.

Yeah, I think so.

I will say that I have heard it recommended that you start yoga with a good instructor so as to develop good form.

We must live under a rock, or on a deserted island. I've heard of the Wii, I didn't know you actually got off the couch and moved around though!

Even though H and I were nerdy geeks when we met, we have NO video games except for a few tiny handheld things from McD's Happy Meals etc. LOL

At least we have indoor plumbing!
