Ol 2long, I LOVE the looks of those old trucks, but I have to be honest, I wouldn't want to drive one any more. Drafty old buggers.

HI, yep! Lotsa of memories, and NOpe! No TV! LMAO...MOF, our bedroom was turned into an execise room a few months ago! Are they trying to say something? LOL

I actually talked to Stacy tonight, she said that the boys have been sleeping on the sofa b/c she couldn't get the air matress to blow up! LOL...

I'm looking forward to seeing them in the morning! I want to hug them so much and just kiss them!!! Our tree's been up since before Thanksgiving, I had to make time to do it! This weekend I will wrap a few things that I picked up for them while I was gone!

I still haven't gotten to the point where I can help others here! Reading their stories and their feeling bring up old stuff and set me in a funk! I want to share and offer hope but I can't bring myself to post when I do read of a newly BS.

WEll, I think that I can FINALLY crawl in bed and not THINK...Good night! I would love to get together and I promise not to tell Timmy! LOL wink BUT I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT GIVING UP THE WHEEL!! LOL

I hear you Rin, I'm actually still going through some withdrawl from that last girl. As long as I stay busy I'm fine. I'm always cryin cause there's not enough hours in the day, but right now there's too many, Lol!

I really don't have anything to look foward too either, so I want tomorrow to be Christmas week, and the next day to be like February, LOL!

Then it'll be DS4's Bday, Mardi Gras, and then Easter and baseball right around the corner.

We'll be fine. It's just these cold dark winters that brings everybody down. Makes it harder to cope with life's curveballs.

yea, you got that right! I'm really for the holidays to be over with myself, granted the boys are going to have a super awesome Christmas...but there's not Christmas parties for me, no one to celebrate with, or anything like that...

heck when asked what "I" want for Christmas, I'm not really sure...haven't thought about it! Just been making sure that the boys have their stuff...I picked up their xbox the other day, got the guitar hero too! They will have just about everything they have asked for this year...completely not the case in past year!

At least my time is filled with work! I'm getting the opportunity to jump into unknown terrority and I am loving that...the opportunity to climb that ladder is very exciting to me!

BUT last night was a downer, I felt like I laid in bed forever before falling asleep...I know it was well after midnight and of course I woke up late this morning!

Now y'all stop wishin away Christmas. I haven't even really got a start on my shopping yet, and with everything out of the way I'm hoping to give DS one of the best Christmases ever.. so lots of work to be done between now and then.

Don't fret too much over the girl BC.. folk around here talk about barrels full of em, and if nothin else it's good practice you got for the next one that comes along. You're still the prize big guy.. besides.. it just means more yummy Christmas food in the trough!

I found another barrell. My brother told me about another Catholic website, catholicmatch.com, I put a profile on there yesterday. By last night I had 5 encounters. I've talked to 2 by email. One's a college professor aged 34. The other's a Nursing Grad student aged 27. laugh

In the middle of talking to those 2 I ended up in an email exchange with the girl. It is such a shame that she's not ready. We have the best time when we talk, but it will probably be another year before she could handle any kind of relationship. I promise you I hope I'm available when she's ready, but I just can't wait a year on a maybe.

So, unexpectedly, my dating life just got busy busy, that's how it happens too.

Oh, and I got DS4 a Wii for Christmas, believe me, I can't wait!!

**** 09 Update ****

A lot has happened in the last month and I had the last 2 weeks off of work, so I've been lurking, but haven't done any posting.

So after my last update I really got hammered on catholicmatch. I couldn't even tell you how many women I've talked too. I had several that lasted for more than the initial pleasantries and ended up dating 2 for a few weeks. In that time the rest kind of went away on their own. I tried dating the 2 casually, but I just couldn't do it. I promise I tried, but after 2 weeks I was in total misery about it. D@mn the bad luck, right? LOL! I talked to both of them about it and they were fully aware of the situaion. So I made a decision and chose the nursing grad student that I met from the beginning.

So I guess you could say I have a girl friend now. We're obviously in the infancy stages of a relationship, but I just can't date more than one at a time. We're going to a Mardi Gras party this Sat and this will be our first out all night date, so I'm very much looking foward to it. So far it's been dinner and movie stuff that's ended relatively early.

More about her
She's English, but grew up in the French Quarter. She left New Orleans after Katrina with her mom. They loved Lafayette so they bought a house together and settled here. She has a DD6. She still has her accent. She and her mom run a summer arts camp for kids. She's now had my Gumbo and my Jumbalaya. We've duked it out on the Wii in which I took her handedly in bowling, but she totally crushed me in baseball, which is quite embarrasing since I'm and ex baseball player and an American by birth.

So enough about that

Christmas was unreal. DS4 got his Wii, then we headed to Houma for many Wii tournements and 4 wheeler riding and golf cart riding and BB gun shooting and playing in the woods.

Then for New Years we had a neighborhood block party and ate too much and drank too much and just seriously blew up the place. I got a very nice bonus this year, so I dropped more than a few bills on some kickin bombs. My favorite was a 750 round Saturn missile that took and entire beer to watch go off. hurray

So 08 ended with a bang and 09's not looking too bad either

Hope everybody is doing well

:happynewyear:

BC,

What a fantastic report!! I'm so happy that things are going well for you!

I understand about the multi-dating thing. Seems a lot of people out there are capable of it,,,,,,,,,,but I'm not much for it myself either.

It sounds like you have a nice girl on the line. I particularly like it that she can soundly beat you at some of your own games!! I think that you need that! rotflmao

Enjoy, my friend! I am sure that 2009 has much good in store for you and DS!!

How did I miss all this?

Is she a drum corp, tuba, baseball and swank art festival fan? Bud Light? Can she recite multiple Monty Python sketches? I was going to ask if she likes "meat on a stick" but it would certainly go over all wrong.

Opps.
