Mimi, we want you to be verbal, too.....well, verbal in a written way.

BTW, after being a slug yesterday, I took a shower, lotioned my body well, and blew-dried (?) my hair....No make-up but I moisturized. I think I will now go cook something enticing. Homemade banana bread from scratch.

I tried the VIRTUAL FITTING ROOM..

It was kinda FUN...

I liked taking a look at the depiction of MY SHAPE..

BUT couldn't exactly figure out how to do MY FACE..and HAIR..

I got her to kinda look like me, though..I THINK...

But they had LIMITED clothes options...and those UNDIES...YUCK..LOL..

I'd like to be able to try on MORE and DIFFERENT stuff...

Good evening my fellow GODDESSES....

(((((GODDESSES))))

In case you all didn't realize, one week from today (1-10-09) will be the one year anniversary of this thread....I say we all plan something "GODDESSY" for ourselves this day....even if it is something like a new bottle of nail polish....

For me, this thread has meant the world. It helped get me back on my feet and find the inner GODDESS in ME.......

I also hope everyong reports back and let each other know what way we are going to "Celebrate" the GODDESSY day.....

Mimi,
You are a very insightful person. I enjoy reading what you write and I always get a lot out of it. How have you gotten to the point that you wrote about?

hurray

p.s. I hope it was okay for me to post that here.

Oh my, Verve...it's a LONG, LONG STORY...

I've focused A LOT on my own PERSONAL RECOVERY WORK since DAY ONE of discovering my H's affair..

I had to do A LOT of PERSONAL CHANGE...recommended by STEVE HARLEY in fact...

I made a commitment to FOCUS on MYSELF and NOT HIM.

There's NO EXCUSING my H's 2 YEAR AFFAIR..BUT I SUCKED as A WIFE..and so decided to become the BEST that I could be...

I advocate that you can only CONTROL YOURSELF.

My story is a long one..around HERE somewhere but I don't know where or how to find it.

PLAN A..then PLAN B..then RECOVERY..pretty much by the MB'S BOOK...

RECOVERY since SEPT 03..PERSONALLY GREAT..and MARRIAGE GREAT..

THANKS for your KIND WORDS....

JOIN THE GODDESSES..you are one, ya know...

As for me, I did manage a clean face, some blusher, and some lip gloss for a trip to the grocery store.

I plan on scheduling another haircut soon. The last one has been difficult to cope with. Too much hair falling in my face.

Does anyone have tricks for dealing with a burn on your neck incurred by a flying kernel of caramel corn?

TRYING TO FIND MY INNER GODDESS BEFORE I GO SQUASH A CO-WORKER!!!!!

For organizational reasons, I do not like for people to touch my things! Do NOT move my things unless I give you permission! Now, in case I haven't told you, I do NOT like for people to move my stuff without me knowing. See, I have too much trouble finding things. If youmove one thing, I sometimes have to rearrange everything to find something because it wasn't exactly where I left it. rant2

I guess you could say I am anal about that. I know I'm an ADD adult and I don't like for people to move my things. uhuh

So, today is the first day I have been at work since NYE. I took Friday and Monday off. smile

When I came in today, I saw that someone had taken down all the Christmas decorations and move things around in my cubicle. naughty :MrEEk: uhuh rant2 :twobyfour:

I asked my supervisor who took down my things and he said he guessed I'd have to talk to Vera about that. Vera is his best buddy at work. Vera and I have different supervisors. Vera has taken advantage of me at different times but she has a good heart and would give you the coat off her back. mad

BUT, SHE MOVED MY STUFF!!! I am steamed. uhuh grumble naughty uhuh :MrEEk: mad uhuh :twobyfour: think naughty :MrEEk: rant2

cinderella, I hope you squashed your co-worker in a supreme goddessy way. I'm sure she won't do that mistake again. grin

I read something in ChaiLover's thread a while ago that has been in the back of my head. It was about body posture, about lifting your chest with your abdominal muscles.

I think that body posture makes a huge difference for the overall impression. If you have an average look but a splendid body posture, people will turn around when you walk by and you will feel so much better. If you are slouching, no good looks in the world will make you pretty. It is very harmful to you back too.

So: back straight, tummy tense, chest and chin up.

I have been out of work too and have spent most of the time at home reading and skiing. Since I have not had any social obligations I have had lots of time to walk around in my comfortable home clothes.

Is mimi coming running? whistle Good!

I was going to say that I have some skirts made from jersey that I use at home. I think they are excellent for relaxed days, they look nice but are very easy to pull on and wear. I also have a couple of tunics that I like to stroll around in.

But how do you keep up a goddessy mindset when you just have two cats to please? For all I know, they consider themselves to be the most goddessy creatures in the house.

I opted for the passive-aggressive technique. At least I didn't make a scene. I just moved the Christmas tree and plugged it back in.

Today, the culprit in the undecorating of my office came to me and said that Christmas was over and it was time to take down my Christmas tree. I told her that it was my tree and I would take it down when I was ready. She gave me a little grief but accepted it and went away.
