Well, one of the benefits of being an ADD adult is that you are really creative. You ponder, stick words in, see what happens, look around, and one thing leads to another. Actually, on another thread, someone said something like, "I enjoy being a girl". I knew there was a song like that so I checked it out. Then I looked through all the related videos and, somewhere, I found that link. It's so unlike the video from the original version that I thought it was a natural.....Xena singing about femininity!!!

Get this....I have just signed up to do my second half-marathon. I am doing it to raise $3000 for Gilda's Club Nashville. Here's the scoop! My daughter wants to run a half-marathon. I can walk one. We wanted to do it together. Her grandfather has small cell lung cancer. I have lost several friends and loved ones to cancer. This was a natural.

Cinders - I feel the same way about ppl moving my stuff!!! I can usually find just about anything, or even tell you exactly where something is on my desk, which pile, how far down... as long as no one has moved anything. And Xena rocks! Thanks for that video. One last thing... for signing up for your second half-marathon! Since it's your second half, will you be able to claim you've done a full marathon after?

2 years ago, I did this same half marathon with Team In Training. This time, my daughter chose the group. Unfortunately, I won't be able to claim a full marathon. But, most people never do one - much less 2.

Tonight, my daughter (AKA - the drama queen) got all upset because we may be too late ordering her senior pictures for her to have her picture in the yearbook....so she says. Well, I don't have the pictures. I don't know what she wants. I do know she didn't like any of the formal ones. She has the telephone number for the place - not me. I let her rant a minute then said I was tired of always being blamed for everything. I seem to remember her father thinking everything that was wrong was not his fault...it was always someone else's. Then I walked out of the room. Didn't really storm out. Let her rant a minute and then left. Quietly. When I finally spoke too her again, I told her I wasn't mad. I was just tired of always being the person at fault. I think I'll get up and get ready in the morning and then tell her that I don't have the pictures and I don't know what she wants. And, if I really wanted to be passive aggressive, I might tell her this as she gets out of the car at school. Why do people always mention the important things at inopportune times?

WHEW!!! I just went and talked to her. I told her, again, that I wasn't mad but it seemed that she had blamed me for all of it and I reminded her that she had some responsibility, also. I don't know what her plan will be in the morning. I will ask her to get them and the info before we leave.
I'm glad I ranted here and then went to clear the air before she fell asleep. I will sleep better.

Hey Cinder,
I think I'll wait until I'm 107 to remarry. Divorce Care says wait 1 year for every 4 that you were married, so that should just about be the right timing for me. I've started scouting the nursing homes.....

Ok....we lived together 17 years. Shall we use that figure 17/4= over 4.
I think I was talking less than intelligently last night.... Why are the nights so short?

OH DEAR!!!
I am suppposed to have coffee this morning with a guy I went to high school with. I don't know if this is a friend thing or an exploratory meeting. And, I have to put my makeup on. And, I don't have a dime with me. He works in my building but for a different organization. I see him in the elevators a couple of times a year. I don't know what brought this on. Haven't seen him in ages but, almost every Saturday, he goes in where my daughter works.

It was fine. Coffee w/ old friend. Interesting. It's a shame that, despite living in same town as when I was in high school, I have so little contact w/ the people from my class. There were only 98 of us and, for all intents and purposes, I only have contact with one person on a regular basis.
