From time to time the idea of joining Australia has been mooted, but opinion polls show New Zealanders overwhelmingly oppose the idea. Even New Zealanders resident in Australia have been unenthusiastic, while for its part, the Australian government has expressed little or no interest. Well Lil - I can tell you that this has NEVER been MOOTED in Australia - only EVER mooted in New Zealand. So much for not wanting to join us. Don't worry - we don't want your magpies, possums, DK or anything else from ya. And as they say ever so politely...we are unenthusiatic about it. Your flaming possums and magpies, take em back!!! But thanks for the Calicivirus :crosseyedcrazy:

BK, You said But we are a land of convicts and criminals, the dregs of English society so anything is possible. One of the interesting Ah! Ah! moments concerning your country came when my family and I were in Tasmania and touring Port Arthur. The guide asked if anyone knew when the it was opened. It turns out it was 1776. The reason...The English could no longer transport "folks" to the Colonies, specifically places such as Georgia, so they needed a new place. You guys won. I found it very interesting how easily we forget the links between events in various parts of the world. You folks have a spectacular country. So does Jen and Lil, even if it as the guy at the airport in Hobart explained to us when we told them we had flown in from Christchurch. He said "Ah!, the only third world country were you can drink the water." At that point I understood the "game was on." God Bless, JL

Mel, Now you folks wouldn't be talkin about our enlightened souls out here who are "fruitarians" would you? They only eat fruit and the fruit has to have fallen to the ground as nature intended or it doesn't have all of its nutrients. Or perhaps you are referring to the enlightened folks out here that don't anything with "chemicals" in them. Ya know, chemicals like, carbon, nitrogen, calcium, potasium, maybe a stray oxygen, perhaps a touch of iron, ya know....Chemicals. Yup, ya'll have there is baggage in the cabbage patch. JL, they were awful fruity out there, alright! Lord only knows what half that stuff is they eat out there. No self respectin TEXAN would put that nonsense in his mouth! I could identify nothing on the menu! I was half starved by the time I got back to the land of the living and stopped at WHATABURGER on the way home from the airport!

youse people need REAL food .. like fresh snake...or croc... roo and emu ..yum ... barra right from drink. Honey ants oh yeah.....wild pig and buff .... thats food we didn't actually steal ... technically ... the idea of states either...see we were giving this US ambassador bloke some REAL beer ... not that sissy stuff he drank at home ... and he signed over anything after 5 pints. You wouldn't believe the trouble they had giving back American Samoa ... And there's no way we would invite Kiwi country into the Commonwealth .. I mean what about the Cricket and Rugby games ... it would never be the same. Not happening. Aussie

AW doesn't like REAL food Mel ... she turns green cooking it ... something about the smell .... odd woman. You have snakes & buff ... I mean its only poaching if you are caught right? Not that I know ANYTHING about doing that I'd never poach a croc ... that would be illegal. ask anyone.

LOL I know - and we keep getting ribbed about being a Penal colony but the US was one first. I found it very interesting how easily we forget the links between events in various parts of the world. I find american history fascinating and fitting it all together with what happened in other parts of the world. You folks have a spectacular country. As do you - I love it over there and hope to come over again soon. At that point I understood the "game was on." Yep - and the game never ends. LOL.

My H brought one of those home after his Texas hunting trip in October - along with a buffalo. Speaking further of Texas, the best fajitas I ever ate were from a place on the riverwalk during our trip to San Antonio. Fajitas are more my speed than wild boar.

I met my friend yesterday to talk and I was so proud of her. She's doing an instinctive stellar Plan A, she's in control, she looks great. She was really pleased to hear how "un-unique" her WH's fogbabble is.
She is taking the high road in all her dealings with the A and she's exposing everywhere. Her H said "if you expose to everyone I'll look like an a**hole, the OW will look like a b**ch and you'll look like the innocent victim". Duh!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent. Do you see the effects of his reputation loss.

Very much so! His reputation and being seen as a "good guy" are very important to him. I told her that all her exposing will make the A seem not so "lovey dovey" and "meant to be" and will become instead the subject of gossip and innuendo. She told me she is telling people the facts without sounding bitter or calling the OW names. She wants people to know that she's not a victim, she's a woman in control (even though inside she's dying).

Jen, You said She told me she is telling people the facts without sounding bitter or calling the OW names. She wants people to know that she's not a victim, she's a woman in control (even though inside she's dying). Tell her she has exactly the right attitude. She is doing well. God Bless, JL
