$2900...rough guess.....divorce sounds great eh?!

Then add another $300 for misc expenses like haircuts, clothing, insurance copays, car maintenance...

Then if something major breaks... TEEF

Tramp-o-lean is in the same boat as your WW. Some days I'm tempted to send her a card board box as just compensation for services rendered. stickout

Many a good man has failed because he had a wishbone where his backbone should have been.

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.

It is my view that the current economic recession that is most likely to turn into a decade long depression will actually severely lessen the number of A’s in the US.

I tend to disagree. I would imagine a recession/depression will have the opposite effect. More people will be unhappy during this time and will tend to seek out things to ease this pain. I would think the use of many "vices" (drugs, alcohol, gambling, infidelity) will increase. Unhappy people don't typically reason things through and will choose a short term fix.

This could be WstbxH and OW (roughly their total combined income including $400 from OWH for CS). Only you have to add $80 for hair dye, increase the gas for the cars to at least $500 since they both commute, he drives a pickup and her car only takes premium gas, and probably at least $500 a month repaying a bunch of loans they took out to renovate their kitchen, bathroom, finish their basement and buy a new washer and dryer. Oh- and their mortgage payment is roughly double that. And yes, I'm 100% certain of both of their incomes.

Yep, they're going down the financial toilet.
