I cannot imagine subjecting another woman to my having an affair with her husband. It doesn't matter how badly my husband has treated me -- and it's been pretty bad.

One thing I realized from my husband's affair with a married woman was that they both marginalized their spouses. I was "crazy" and her husband was heartless.

The Catholic Church calls Satan the father of Lies, and an affair is one lie after another. At least in my husband's case, no consideration was given to etiher spouse, her husband or me.

I was not dumb at all. I couldn't drop by his house because as I said, we lived several states apart. I COULD call him at home as he gave me a number to his "home office" which was a number that no one else in the house answered as it was his business phone. I could call his cell phone anytime. I did ask others and no one else knew the guy was married either. And, the fact that he wrote me letters telling me that his W had abandoned him with 2 kids, etc. I did do my best considering the distance on checking him out but was not able to find anything until it was too late. So, yes--IT DOES HAPPEN. And, after the truth came out I was through with him.

This was not the first time this man had done this I found out later.

The distance does make it easier to conceal marital status. H and his FOW lived 1000s of miles apart as well so no she couldn't come over to our house but there were still other redflag that she simply wanted to ignore. She was also a BW herself which makes it even more unbelievable to me that she didn't see the hand writing on the wall.

BW - me
exWH - serial cheater
2 awesome kids
Divorced 12/2011

Many a good man has failed because he had a wishbone where his backbone should have been.

We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.
