Well fine, I'll just talk to myself then. Whilst bopping myself over the head.
:twobyfour: :twobyfour: :twobyfour:
And H isn't here to hug me and tell me I'm not stupid and I'm not too very mean...
He's at a work-related dinner. I could be there too but I'm tired and we'd have to bring the kids and frankly I'm tired of these working dinners. This past weekend I had to attend a banquet and H got to take the kids to the beach and visit his aunt and uncle and go get sushi. Last night I had another working dinner, with over-cooked dry salmon. Let H enjoy this working dinner all by himself.
So what happened, you ask? Someone did ask, didn't they? <crickets chirping>
It was just something where DS7b wanted to finish something and I was letting him but said I couldn't wait if he had to start all over, and then a girl came over and messed it up and DS7b got all upset. I asked the girl to apologize, and I think I did it nicely, but was that too interfering of me?
Ack.

Sorry, Jayne, dinner called. I guess it depends on how well you know the little girl. Is she like a best friend's daughter who you see all the time, or just an occasional visitor?

That creep girl, just like other asses, wants to destroy a boys life, even at that young age. I would have said that and then told her mother.

One reason I didn't just brush it off, is I think it's the same girl who several times has come up to me and told me that DS7a did something bad. Like he said a bad word... and I asked him and he didn't even know what work I was talking about. He didn't even know that word.
I PREFER BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was at the after-school program, I don't know her at all (except I think she's the tattle-tale from another couple of incidents).

Why do I get all torn up when my kids are involved??? H would've just shrugged it off... and better yet, he would've taught DS7b to shrug it off as well.
Guys are so great.... Women are just messed up, aren't we?

You were protective. I would have been also. She is a creepy little girl. I guess you could have asked her:
WHY DID YOU JUST DO THAT? and then watched her try and respond.

omg, you guys are here ripping on little girls and I missed it? Mine is only 5, and I already dread her teen years. Jayne, there is a fine line between protecting our children and preventing them from learning to stand up for themselves. At 7, your boys are still baby-boyish enough to appreciate the rescue, but soon they will let you know when you embarrass them, and at that point you will need to stand back and let them handle it. I'm surprised that a twin would not have simply pummeled anyone who messed with their stuff. That's how my kids handle such things.
Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience. (Oscar Wilde)
