You know, Mel, we was talkin' 'bout you Texans last night at our meetin' down at the Cosa Nostra hall, (right next to the Teamsters local and across the street from that nice little quiet Italian place with the really great home made pasta)...

Where was I?

Oh, yeah...

Anyway, we was talkin' 'bout how some of dem guys down that way are gettin' to be too big for their own good, if ya know what I'm sayin'.

We couldn't all agree on whackin' nobody by name so we deferred the decision to the national convention in the Pine Barrens next week. (I wonder if Mike is gonna be there?)

And just so you know, the Mafia has almost no power in Chicago compared to the Chicago Democratic Party machine...

If the mob wants you whacked, they have to get a permit for it from 121 N LaSalle St.

If the party wants you whacked, they litigate you to the point of suicide.

Our state capital is in Springfield. Our state is run from Chicago.

Did I mention that our president is from Chicago?

For me, here is the annoying part.

Each week, we sit and schedule our UA time on the calendar. We chart it on a graph; we ensure we do the things on our affection inventory that we like and avoid the ones we don't like; we chose RC activities that we both like, etc. It FEELS very clinical. For some parts of the week, I really don't like my H and he probably feels the same way about me. Every so often, I get a flash of a loving, romantic feeling. This week, for me, it was while we were giving the dog a bath.

For the most part, though, it reminds me of physical therapy after an injury - something that has to be done to get better, not so fun when it is happening and ticked off that the injury happened in the first place. And except for RC, the UA time was EFFORTLESS between H and OW.

Back in love after the worst thing that every happened to us.
