MrsW contributes far more than FWW perspective. She has grown and learned as a person and has changed as she has adopted responsibility as her mantra. I think it is a shame that she is not as active here as she once was. But others will come in and take her place as time goes on. This is the way it works for a board like this one.

Well wow what nice things to say, Larry...Thank you...blush

I'm still here a good bit - the last few days I've been posting on MB101...I am not usually one to post to a bunch of threads at once - I find that I have a hard time keeping stories straight if I do - I am blonde you know! grin

We've been pretty busy lately [a good busy smile], but we still try to keep up at least somewhat - we post more when we have the time - it's sorta cyclic these days - this place saved our family, and we are beyond grateful to the Harleys and so many of the wonderful people here for that...

Mrs. W

P.S. Tell the truth now, you just said all those nice things to try and persuade me to quit clownin' on yer thread, didn't ya? stickout

I hope one day to return all of the wonderful support and advice I have received on this site.
Right now I don't think I am in a place of offering support to anyone else; I continue to be wrapped up in my own pain, feelings of betrayal, and sense of failure

I think many newly BS are in the same place and are just trying to survive. I am just trying to survive at this point. (I actually still secretly hope this is all a bad dream)

I'm not sure if keeping quiet is a good thing or bad at this point, but I don't think I am able to provide support to someone else - maybe that is selfish and I am allowing my taker to rule.

But I do want to thank all of those people who do come here time and time again to share, provide wisdom, and generally try to make someone feel a little better.

Please don't miss one point that was made. You obviously read other threads. Just posting that you have read someone's story and feel for them is often a very, very good thing. A few people saying that can sometimes make all the difference in the world.

Please do NOT think you have to offer detailed descriptions of what you think is their mindset or a direction to travel or quotations from Dr. Harley.

Sympathy is often a powerful motivator for someone to do their own soul searching, reading and learning.

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy, etc., etc., etc.

This is an open forum with emphasis on encouraging people to post their thoughts and/or their sympathy and concern.

You have no idea how much time I have spent trying to find emoticons that some of you haven't already mined for content.

Bah, humbug.

I am jealous.

Bliss. . .

If I told you, I would first have to shoot you. It is an ill kept secret.

. . . Ok, click on quote. Read the quote. See the web link? that's where you find them. Go to the link in another browser window. Look around. What you are looking for is something you can use. Then you need to find the link address and use it.

For example, the link might be:

http://www.21softs.com/emoticons/images/tongue.gif

Put a {img] then the link followed by [/img} Except use brackets where I used {} and you got it.

After that, use preview to see if you got it right. If not, play with it or come back and ask what you are doing wrong.

The link is to the pic and how it gets to the post. Just look at the links and explore. There are bunch of places that offer FORUM pics. You gotta do FORUM type pics so you can post the link. The ones that offer IM pics or email pics or whatever are not suitable.

MB,

Right click on any of the forum pics you like such as Pink Shoes and drop down to Properties. This will will give you the URL address and site where it came from.

Go to that site and browse away.

Dang, that's good. But OMG, what has been unleashed upon us, inquiring minds want to know...

I didn't want to download the toolbar. But that is a great site for emoticons and stuff.

Vibrissa. Maybe papasita.

If you are reading here Vibrissa, PLEASE post more where you think it is appropriate. You have heart, mind and knowledge. And you did really good with your posts to mamasita.

papasita. You are very smart guy. If I told you that in my long ago past, I learned how a mediator would often make both sides mad at him to get them to work with each other, would you be surprised? Er, and the tools used.

Just saying. . .

A tale about the purple ponie

My boss once asked that I not book meetings back to back..that no meeting last longer than 30 minutes and that he actually have 2 - 3 full days a week to do realy work...

A fellow EA looked him square in the eye and said "and SR and i want to ride on flying purple ponies - but thats not going to happen EITHER" -

[Linked Image from 1.bp.blogspot.com]

So Purple Ponies now mean, for me, an unresponsible request that just aint gonna happen no matter how nice it sounds.

Thought I would share that.
