Congratulations, Fred!

I'm bumping my thread not out of a sense of masochism (or even sadism, for that matter), but because I want to wish you wonderful people a

VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Tomorrow I'm going on my first date since WxW torpedoed our marriage. I have been divorced for over six months now, and the darkness of Plan B remains sealed tighter than a Tupperware jar. That I am able to do this is not only a testament to the healing I've done, but to the strength and encouragement I've gotten from folks here on MB.

I'm as nervous as all get-out, but I know this is something I have to do in order to continue recovering.

I don't come to this forum much right now, because it's like scraping a scab to read the threads here. But MB is still a place I turn to for advice, strength and encouragement.

To those now where I was a year ago, I wish you calm, peace, and most importantly, HOPE. We DO survive. This does not kill us, even though at times we almost wish it would.

I have received a tremendous gift and a wonderful blessing out of the pain, confusion and horror I experienced. The gift was a much better understanding of, and relationship with God. The blessing was that you folks here helped make that possible.
