So there affair marriage did not last, surprise surprise, if you don't remember he was married when they first got together, now he has four kids from two ex-wives (if Dern and he do divorce) and I guess he got his sites set on someone else, hence the divorce out of know where.
Edit to Add
Ben's first wife was pregnant when Dern hooked up with him, Ben's second child by his first wife is only months older than the first child Ben had with Dern.
Dern also hooked up with Billy Bob Thorton when he was married to his third wife.

This isn't even serial monogamy - it's just serial adultery.
And I still maintain that people are so interested in these stories because they are going through so much of it in their own lives (as seen on this board) and want to know what, if anything, will happen to the Rich and Famous when they do the same stuff.
If the Rich and Famous are penalized and looked down on for their cheating and homewrecking, there might be hope that the non-famous cheaters will finally start getting the same treatment. We can only hope.
