My XH is Narcissistic too...too bad they can't hook up together, they deserve each other. Sigh... but alas, they could never make it with another Narcissist, that doesn't leave room for THEM, nope they need us NS (Narcissistic Supply) for that.

NS is simply their drug of choice. "Narcissist" is simply a fancy word for "attention addict". Every drop of their validation comes from outside sources and zero comes from within, so they have to spend every waking moment looking for more and more and more validation - and that comes in the form of attention, attention, attention and more attention. And just like any other junkie or alcoholic, they'll do anything to get their drug.
It's a terrible way to live, but every addiction is hell to live with. This is just one more form.
