Hey thanks a lot MB !!! Recovering sure isn't for whimps. It is grueling (in my opinion). Did you feel that way too ?? But we are not straying from the plan. The narrow way. I know how we got here and we're not letting that happen again. We've got a lot of good living and loving to do. But like I said, it is hard work for both of us.

Yes, there were times when it was extremely hard. There were times when I questioned the wisdom of making the effort. But it was worth it! It becomes much easier as you may it a way of life.

MB, no truer words have been spoken. Now that we apply the POJA and actually communicate our needs, life is getting easier. Our biggest hurdle now is for her to forgive herself. Her fundamentalist Christian background, and her family's attitude contribute a great deal to this. Her Dad hasn't spoken a word to her in over two months, and her sister calls her a whore to others. On D-day , her Dad actually said I should beat her.

Hey thanks a lot MB !!! Recovering sure isn't for whimps. It is grueling (in my opinion). In recovery, it is all about honesty. Honesty is often grueling because it requires the effort of integrity. But, it's worth it. But we are not straying from the plan. The narrow way. I know how we got here and we're not letting that happen again. We've got a lot of good living and loving to do. But like I said, it is hard work for both of us. When I first read this, I read ... "We are not straying from the pain." ..... And, I said to myself; "Good! There is wisdom in pain." But, not straying from the plan is even better.

PB, Pain and Plan. Pretty close to the same thing at times !! I appreciate your perspective and wisdom in your postings to everyone. Thanks for sharing your lessons learned. I am determined to get my marriage to a good place. Heck, it WAS in a pretty good place until I burned it to the ground. But I have maintained NC and continue de-fogging and seeing my own stupidity (how do I make that little icon of the smiley face beating his head against the wall...that's me).

(how do I make that little icon of the smiley face beating his head against the wall...that's me). Do not go to "quick reply". Instead, click on the "reply" button. When you do that, you get the full range of colors, fonts, size, smilies , etc, etc, etc. All those choices are available if you click "reply" instead of "quick reply". Then, when you want to see what your post will look like, hit "preview post" and make corrections before you hit "submit".

I've got a feeling you're going to be one of our mentors for wayward wives, psmf. I thought that from the beginning about you, and I don't think that way for many (former) waywards. So if you want to stay with us and help other people recover their marriages, you might as well get used to using the icons - you're gonna need them. I would suggest you plan on sticking around here for awhile - we need you here. Truly repentant waywards are priceless on this forum and can be very helpful for other waywards who have lost their way.

You bet I'm staying around !! God will use this for good some way, some day and if He can use me here, then that is great. I certainly do understand the wayward mind (wish I didn't...). I need more time under my belt with recovery, but anytime you need me to post to a WW, you let me know.

I need more time under my belt with recovery, but anytime you need me to post to a WW, you let me know. I think it's wise that you know your place in healing. But I'm not going to direct or bless your posting, missy. I'm a survivor of infidelity, just like you are. We might be on opposite sides of that experience, but our input is equally helpful. As far as posting, I learned early on to jump in there if a post moved me to respond. You're a smart girl. You'll do the same. And our posters will be the better for it.

Gotcha. I just don't want to offend anyone by offering advice from a WW....who is still so newly un-wayward ! But I think someday I can earn the position, like others have helped me.

PSMF, you sound a lot like my wife. Her guilt and remorse are HUGE. She feels that she is a wh*re, who traded bad sex for the illusion that the OM was her confidant and friend. It is becoming a major hurdle for our recovery. Just yesterday she presented me with a Post-nup giving me everything, to prove her love and commitment, but she still says things like she is "un-worthy", etc.
