Oohhh that does sound neat....i will have to try and step out of my norm and try and attempt 2 shades as well.

I just did mine a solid lilac with no glitter....Scotty would be disappointed....but after having nakie nails for almost 1 week i had to do something.

Thank you LR. I have missed MB and all of you as well. I do pop in, I only catch up on a few people's threads, and then I'm off again.

I received my Nexus card last week and I am able to go to the US once again. smile So, naturally, my sister took me over, and our first stop? Walmart. PURE ICE. Oh, that line of nail polish is WONDERFUL and so CHEAP. I purchased the Mint Dream one. Makes me happy when I look at it. I will be making more purchases in the near future.

I'm starting to think I don't belong to this thread...

More likely LSCA...

I have developed a lipstick addiction in Plan B. Prior to D Day, I was an occasional lipstick girl, but more a lip tint or maybe a gloss. Now... I have developed an addiction. So much so, that the two lipsticks I bought back from duty free airport have run out. I am on DREGS!!!

And I can't afford Aus prices for my supply...

On Scotty's advice, I have called in international soldiers. My fave lipsticks (I didn't do things by halves, I ordered 6!) are on their way. I have even ordered some for my mother, who is developing an addiction too.

Is this a TJ? I'll let you get back to nail colours...

I think all things girly girly are welcome. I am more of a tomboy so i dont have much finesse when it comes to many things. So it is a tough job letting the more feminine come thru.

Prior to Plan B, I didn't take very good care of my nails. I liked acrylic nails, but only had them a few times, since they are expensive. Now, I am almost always wearing some kind of polish on my nails.

I also never wore makeup. My WH didn't like makeup. I didn't really like makeup either. Now, whenever I am going out of the house, unless it's to boxing, I wear makeup. Just some eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, and lipstick. It makes me feel good, and that's what is most important.

I am pretty much a tomboy at heart. Now, I have seemed to find the me, without my WH. I realised the other day that I actually know a lot of people who only know the Plan B me. That's actually pretty cool.

LR, glad that your DD likes Rockstar Pink, and that you were able to find any, since I horde them. wink

I hear you Scotty......I am finding enormous help with the whole makeup thing and clothes with my friends, DD and my IM. I rarely pick out my own cothes anymore. My wardrobe has become more colorful to say the least along with makeup application. Things i would gave NEVER picked out for myself, lime green sandels, large print floral dress, lower cut tops, and above the knee skirts. I am certainly feeling prettier, more feminine and confident.......even though i am older and fluffy. grin

LR, I am eagerly awaiting the rockstar pink pics. I was shopping with a friend today and saw a big Sally Hansen display. I pulled her over explaining I was searching for rockstar pink because I didn't understand what online friends were raving about.

It still wasn't there, seems demand is outstripping supply in Canada so it doesn't get down under smile

I will do them tonight or tomorrow in rockstar pink and post. I usually do it as a top coat over mauve.

Thanks LR. I will finally get to see rockstar in action.

BTW, I love the black with pink crackle overcoat. I am way too conservative with polish it would seem!

I am still anticipating my lipstick delivery... I keep checking the mailbox daily. Fast play (my fave) and trying some new colours... MAC Red (do I dare?) and Cosmo.

Ok here it is.....left is a light mauve, right is light mauve with rockstar pink. It looks so much better in person, but you get the idea.

oh dear, i knew i shouldn't open this thread and see what it was about!

when we moved to NZ, i had my acrylics taken off, and started giving myself my own pedicures (i have a horse, too, and she gets regular pedis at nearly $100/pop!).

since i had my knee replacement surgery, i can no longer do my toes on that foot, and now i have an excuse to get pedis here (at about half what it costs to do the horse, or 2.5x the cost of having it done in the usa!).

now that i no longer have a child at home, i'm getting my pink & whites put back on tuesday! i'm so excited! don't know where i'm going to find the time to get them filled...

someone on page 1 said they liked french pedis. i can do this, and can tell you from experience: it takes a very steady hand. however, if you start with the white, you can use a bit of cotton on a pointy orange stick to shape the white before you put the pinky color on. hope that helps :O) the trick is not to use a too-pink pink that mottles your white.

my fave color for my toes is OPI santiago sangria. now, of course, i can't find it anywhere. :O( a few trips to the usa ago, i bought up heaps of polishes (they are over $20/bottle here, and that's the cheap stuff), but i tend to stick to one color. the OPI in summer, french in winter. i'm doing a chocolate brown to match my ball gown for the ball next month. maybe i'll put a sparkly gold over it. oooo, out of my comfort zone!

i really like the combo of the mauve with the rockstar pink!
