(Yes, markos is a nerd in the extreme. I hope I didn't kill my own book club thread, here with that odd diversion...) It's fine with me. I liked it. But I'm a software developer so..... I'm a software developer too. Makes me wonder if our tendency toward introversion makes us vulnerable to having WSs

spacemanSpiff (or should I say Calvin), why don't you start a thread and tell us your story?
The factors that make a marriage vulnerable to an affair are pretty well known thanks to Dr. Harley's research. If you search up above in this thread for Dr. Harley's list of extraordinary precautions, the marriages that don't take those are the ones that are vulnerable to an affair.
In addition, another great protection to add is exposure. Both my wife and I know that if we ever had an affair, the other would find out and would reveal it to people we would not want to know.
All of us would have an affair under some circumstances, and there are also some circumstances under which nobody will have an affair.
If you are serious about saving your marriage, you can't get it all on this forum. You've got to listen to the Marriage Builders Radio show, every day. Install the app! Married to my radiant trophy wife, Prisca, 19 years. Father of 8. Attended Marriage Builders weekend in May 2010 If your wife is not on board with MB, some of my posts to other men might help you.

I am interested as well. When will you start? I don't think I have the new edition yet... This thread is over a year old, but there's nothing to stop you from reading the book and the thread concurrently. You might not get the immediacy of real time replies from the group, but you can get the benefit of other people's past insights. If you have any new observations, people are always here to discuss them with you.

Maybe we should do it again, and finish this time.
