I say this because when I was young a number of my friends had witnessed their parents infidelity and told me about it. What was common to each case was that the kids took on the guilt of keeping it from the other parent. In all cases it was told to me under the condition I keep it a secret.


This occurred to me too. It would also explain his past conflicts with his dad.

It's amazingly common for the BS to summon the courage to 'expose' the A and then to discover everyone knows - or at least suspected - any way.

Either way she can't lie to her son and needs to get this out of the way. Then she will discover if he already knows.
