If Ever You Need Me
If ever you need me,
I'll be right here,
To chase away the sadness,
And wipe away a tear.
If ever you need me,
I'll be two steps behind,
To follow in your footsteps,
And hear what's on your mind.
If ever you need me,
You'll never have to fear,
That your presence isn't important,
And your love isn't dear.
If ever you need me,
I'll always be around,
To bring back the laughter,
Where deep in your heart it's found.
You'll never have to worry,
For I'll always be here,
To chase away the sadness,
And wipe away a tear.
I AM HERE FOR YOU!

++ CONTENTMENT ++
===================================================
"If I die tonight in my sleep:
Let me have hugged and told my children that I love them,
Let me have told my mother how much she is loved and
appreciated,
Let me have helped a friend or better, a stranger,
Let me have worked very hard these past hours in the name
of my personal progress, and,
Let me have gone to sleep with the knowledge that I did the
very best I could do today." -- Rick Beneteau

"I endeavor to be wise when I cannot be merry, easy when I
cannot be glad, content when I cannot be mended and patient
when there be no redress." -- Elizabeth Montagu

"I am a big believer in the 'mirror test'. All that
matters is if you can look in the mirror and honestly tell
the person you see there, that you've done your best." --
John McKay

"That man is richest whose pleasures are the cheapest." --

Terrific thread, the wisdom of the ages!

Here are my favorites:

You can feel inferior without being jealous but you can’t feel jealous without being inferior.

Even dirty water quenches thirst.

Friends can hurt you more than your enemies ever can.

Fear of something happening to you is only rational if you cannot prevent it.

Every crisis has three parts, first, uncovering, second, discovering, third, recovering.

The harm you can experience by confronting anything you fear is not as great as the harm you experience by avoiding it.

Love without sacrifice is heart without soul.

The wisest among us are consumed by nothing.

Knowing what is false can be more important than knowing what is true.

Failure usually teaches you more than success.

Be good and you’ll be lonesome.

The disdain we have for selfish people always carries with it a trace of admiration and even envy that we ourselves cannot do what we want and take what we want so easily unrestrained and unburdened by conscience.

The costliest form of happiness is that which is purchased at another’s expense.

The world would be better off with less sainthood and more common decency.

Fortune does not answer to the call of justice, but to the call of whim.

Love usually won’t kill you, but it does take prisoners.

Stumbled acoss this while searching for something else, started re-reading it, and forgot what I was originally searching for.

Of well. There's probably an adage in here that describes my distraction.

some of my favorites...

A brook would lose it's song if God removed the rocks.

A calm sea does not make a skilled sailor.

Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't.

Life is mostly froth and bubble, two things stand like stone; kindness in anothers trouble and courage in our own.

Don't let today's disappointments
cast a shadow on tomorrow's dreams

Here is a good one!!!

LIFE IS A THEATER -- INVITE YOUR AUDIENCE CAREFULLY
----------------------------------------------------------
Not everyone is healthy enough
to have a front row seat in our lives.

There are some people in your life
that need to be loved from a distance.
It's amazing what you can accomplish
when you let go of, or at least minimize,
your time with draining, negative, incompatible,
not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships.

Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention.
Which ones lift and which ones lean?
Which ones encourage and which ones discourage?
Which ones are on a path of growth uphill
and which ones are going downhill?

When you leave certain people do you feel better or feel worse?
Which ones always have drama or don't really understand,
know or appreciate you?

The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind,
love and truth around you, the easier it will become for you
to decide who gets to sit in the front row and
who should be moved to the balcony of your life.

"If you cannot 'change' the people around you,
change the people you're around."
------------------------------------------------------
Have an awesome day!
