I would like to request prayer for my husband, who is a longtime alcoholic and does not know the Lord. His drinking has gotten steadily worse and worse, as has his attitude and behavior. Without the Lord's grace and mercy I would never be able to stand it. Please also pray that the Lord will give me His strength and peace. I pray also that the Lord will continue to change me and mold me into the kind of wife and Christian He wants me to be. I pray for the Lord's help daily in dealing with this tough situation. Thank you all so very much.

AW,
Remember sometimes God puts us in a pit to get us were He wants us. If your husband is getting worse maybe he is in or heading to his pit. Then God will bring your husband out with His grace. I know God is working in him and you. He brings all things together for good for those that love Him.
I will have you both in my prayers.
In Him,
gentle
[This message has been edited by gentle (edited December 20, 2000).]

gentle,
Thank you so much for your prayers. My husband is deeply in the slimy pit of alcoholism, and I pray also that the Lord will use this for His good and His glory. My husband has become increasingly arrogant and full of selfish pride, both of which the Lord hates. May He do whatever it takes to bring him to a godly sorrow and repentance. The only hope my husband has is in the Lord.
