My friends at MB,
I gave my first copy of POPW to a bride to be. I promised myself I would give every new bride a copy after finding out how life changing this book has been to me.
I also got to share a devotion from it to the attending guests at the shower. What a blessing to know that 30 women have now been introduced as well to this book.
God is so good to give me the chance to testify to his power and grace and use this book as a platform. Thank you Lord!
I thought maybe it was time for an update. First my new job is going well. I started last night on my first shift off of orientation. To say the least I was nervous but "God giveth more grace"!
Mike and I are doing well. I feel like we have finally turned the corner so to speak in that I am able to go for weeks on end without thinking of the past. (To those who are unfamiliar with my story we have been in recovery for over 3 years after an 11 yr betrayal by my H)
The counseling is going slow but it is uncovering alot of garbage from my H's childhood. He is sticking with it even though it is very revealing and difficult. I pray knowing it will be God alone who brings total spiritual healing to Mike.
I know that this forum has been a lifeline to me. The prayers of everyone have been my food and drink at times when I knew I was dying emotionally. I have said thank you so often but I can't say it enough.
Welcome to all the new women.....you will be blessed beyond your imagination for becoming involved in this study and especially with the fellowship among these other women.
My suggestion is to post often and openly. There is nothing but love here to gleen. You will never be made light of, only encouraged in Christ.
Big hugs to Rootbeer, SueB, hw, Lizzie, cozy, Brown, TNT and yes to all the newbies!
Blessing to all,
Taj

------------------
"Perfect love casts out fear" I John 4:18

What a great idea giving POPW as a bridal shower gift! My husband's son is getting married next month so I think I'll get his fiance a copy of POPW! A copy of His Needs/Her Needs would be a good idea too I think.
Taj, it is always so good to hear from you. I'm glad that the new job is going well and you and your H are doing well. It is so encouraging to hear a success story!!!
Love and blessings,
AW/Rootbeer

Taj
I second your idea. There are two women in my Bible study that have gotten married in the last year. I took them each a copy of the book. One especially said it helped her to pray for her husband in ways she had not thought of. Both their husbands are Christian. We have another one geting married in the fall. I will give her a copy also.
Glad for the update and glad to hear things are going well for you. My h is dealing with his childhood as well. I know he has a long way to go but she is sticking with it.
Tell us how we can be praying for you. God Bless.

Taj,
What a wonderful gift ideal. I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I think I will just have to pick up a book and add it to my gift. You ladies are such a blessing to me. The strength and wisdom I recieve from you. God's blessings.
