Father,
We come before You, bowing low and praising You for never abandoning us. Father what greater love is there but Your love in the giving of Your Son, Jesus. As we have passed celebrating the Lord's birth we look forward to His death and resurrection. We praise You for such a confounding and marvelous provision and plan.
Lord as we enter this New Year we ask for Your guidance. Lord let us surrender to You as we never have before.
Lord we confess our self centeredness even in seeking You. We confess those things that You come and convict each of us. Lord break down the strongholds and free us from their chains. Lord let us confess and ask forgiveness for worrying, idoltry, rebellious natures, laziness in reading Your word, pride, and other sins that You convict us of in love.
We can not do this, but we can ask You to work and will in us. Lord "we will, Thy will." Lord this is my prayer for all of us this year. That we would delve deeper into Your word. That we would open our hearts to Jesus and sit before You quietly and listen to You. That we seek Your wisdom in all things. That we sing praises joyously to You out of the greatness of our hearts for You and Your salvation. That Your Spirit would be deposited anew in each of us and that we would know You in ways we never expected.
Lord for "YOu know the plans You have for us, plans to prosper us not to harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
"And let us trust in you with all our hearts and let us not lean on our own understanding, let us acknowledge You in all things and let You make our paths straight." Proverbs 3:5.
For we know that You work all things for our good. (Romans 8:28)
"Anf the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make ou atrong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the poweer for ever and ever. Amen." (1Peter 5:10)
Lord let each of us come and ask You what is Your will for our lives. Let us come and ask what is the will for our marriages, for our h's, and for praying for them. Father You tell us how we should pray in this coming year.
Father for Taj we pray Your provision for hte job prospect. Give her the confidence in You that she needs during the interview. Lord we ask that You bind she and her h together in this new ministry. Lord we pray that You heal them and bring them closer together through this exciting opportunity. Lord we praise You for providing rest for Taj, that she is just to "be in You" prior to this time of new ministry/
Lord for Scared and lonely we pray that You will lead her and show her how to love her h even in the face of his criticism. Lord we ask that You work in his heart to recognize that it is his own pain and sin that he is putting off on his wife. Convict him with Godly sorrow to repentence. Lord heal this marriage. Lord give her strength, grace and softness of heart to keep her respecting and forgiving her h. Let him recognize this precious gift. Let her know that she can do this as You will do it through her if she opens her heart on this matter up to You.
Lord for SueB we thank You, Lord for her obedience in seeking You through the 12 step program and for leading her to again reexamine the "Power of a praying wife" study.
Lord for all the other women who come regularly and for the lurkers, Lord You know the desires of their hearts, their needs and Your will for them. Lord again "we will, Thy will" Lord make that our motto and ever present desire in our hearts.
Lord we all sense that You are leading each of us into a deeper relationship with You and each other. That together we can come to a fuller understanding of how to be a better "praying wife." Lord, we know that first off we must work on ourselves and seek You in all things for this. Lord we ask You to change us, change us into women who are after Your own image. This is nothing we can do on our own.
" I am, the true vine,...I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me, and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing." (John 15: 1, 5)
Lord, let us remain in You and let us seek sustinance in all things from the True Vine, Jesus. Father show us each what it means to seek You as You seek us. To seek You according to how You want us to seek You. Lord in all things we love and we love because You first loved us. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

[This message has been edited by hw (edited January 03, 2001).]
