What is Real Love?
What most of us relate to love is the feeling that God intended for us to feel for enjoyment. However, love is much much more than a feeling. Beisdes the love feeling feels exactly like its evil counterpart: LUST. Lust feels like love and is carefully disguised by Satan to fool us ALL into thinking that it is love. True love has God as part of it. When God is not part of it, then it is pure LUST which Satan has perverted into something that hurts others where LOVE has the other person' sbest interest at heart at all times even when pain is associated with it.
The greatest expression of love was when Jesus died on the cross for OUR sins against God. It is impossible to top that which is the definition of TRUE love. Love has many facets as discussed in the other posts.
------------------
God Bless,
Rob
regilmor@swbell.net
[This message has been edited by professorg (edited May 09, 2000).]

Professorg,
very good! To me - I interpret all of these Biblical descriptions of love as action - God is love, God is in action. Jesus was in action when he demonstrated love. Glad you found that.
tnt

Thanks Connie. I thought it was well written and that it would be the best possible answer for her along with my other musings. He recently revealed to me that we ALL put a great deal of emphasis on the feeling part which God intended for us to feel the pleasurable part of love. Yet, it is just that the pleasurable part. When the pleasurable part is taken out of context the result involves the hurt and thus our need to be here.
------------------
God Bless,
Rob
regilmor@swbell.net
