Paul -They already know I'm onto them and have taken to being even more sneaky. If I could afford a P.I. right now, that's definitely the way I would go, but I can't, so I've got to do my own detective work. I had a chance to hire a P.I. before we were married and I could afford it, and I've been kicking myself ever since that I didn't. It would have saved me tons of grief. R & B,
--Wex

Wex...Your mission, should you choose to accept it.... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
A big way to go for you my man!
I have to say that I think your tenacity on this is admirable. It is my opinion( which can be questionable sometimes) that you need to do what you feel. You need to check all possible outcomes and realize that you will have to live with your decision. Good luck.
This reply will self destruct in 10 seconds.
Wex,
Hey, I'm glad I made your day the other day (I haven't checked MB in a few days) with that website URL. I'm about 95% sure that the Garmin 12 has the time-set "breadcumb" feature. The 12XL is a gem of a unit, but you're right, they are $230 or so.
There is still the issue of concealing the unit in the car, but I think you can figure that part out. The unit will need a clear view of the sky, or you'll have to use an extenral antenna. The problem here is that the 12 doesn't have an external antenna jack IIRC, but the 12XL does.
Good luck, Wex. I'm pulling for you. I shouldn't say this, but I feel like I'm somehow part of an unfolding spy novel!
Btw, have you watched a movie with your wife recently? Maybe you should rent "Sneakers" as a joke. OK, my strange sense of humor is showing, so I'd better shut up now. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Bystander

Bystander - Thanks for the added info about the GPS devices. As a matter of fact, yesterday I went to a Sports Authority store nearby and checked out the GPS 12. Yep, with rebates it's about $120. But the problem is just what you mentioned, it needs a clear line of sight to the sky which would be hard to conceal. Or, if I go with an external antenna, THAT would be hard to conceal, I think. Wonder if I could connect to the car's antenna? I'll have to look into it. That's an interesting possibility. (I actually emailed Garmin's tech support about these issues.)
Arik - Thanks for the encouragement. I'm nothing if not persistent, that's for sure!
--Wex
Wexwill,
First, let me offer my email address, because this is more about GPSes than anything else:
dis_interested@hotmail.com
Feel free to email.
As for GPS antennae, the are small. GPSes operate at about 1.6 GHz, so the antennae can be a lot smaller than you might think. I don't believe its possible to use a regular car antenna, but its worth checking out. Did Garmin Tech Support have anything to say?
Sorry I was offline for so long...I was out of town attending a wedding! (Seriously!)
Bystander
