Lesa,
Keep strong. My kids have become very clingy too. My oldest is 10 and he's mad at the world. He hates me, it's my fault his dad left. He hates his dad for leaving. My middle one is 7. He shut down. He acts like nothing is wrong. He acts like his dad is just out of town working. And 7 yr old won't go anywhere without me. The baby is 2 and cries about everything. He talks about his dad all the time. It sucks really bad!!!

I think this is the hardest part for me. My oldest son needs to go to counseling. I'm making the appointment tomorrow. He told me yesterday he wants to kill himself. Not to be taken lightly. When I try to talk to him about that, it upsets me and I start crying. I really don't know what else to do except tellhim I love him and that I'm not going anywhere.

mitzi, you are doing the right thing, only I'd see if I could get him a emergancy appointment, You are right that is nothing to take lightly, and having someone to talk to who has nothing to do with the family may help him, and this may not be what anyone else on this BB would do but I would tell H right away he needs to spent some one on one time with him and get some things talked about.
I truly hope everything goes ok for you tonight I'll say a speical prayer for your son tonight and that god help him through this hard time in his young life.
Lesa
------------------
maybe someday

Lesa,
That's exactly what I'm going to do. An emergency appointment. I told my H about it yesterday, so he talked to Kyle on the phone for a while. He loves his kids and I know that. But he's just caught up in something right now, and he needs to really fight to get out of it. I pray everyday for him to have the strength, courage and wisdom to do what's right in the eyes of God. I know one day he will, it's just a matter of time.

That’s good, I hope every thing works out, and I hope your H finds the strength to fight what he has to fight, I hope you two get some time tonight after the trip to MIL's to talk but not just talk really Communicate, keep your chin up and keep fighting for what you want, I’ve got to go get my little ones some lunch, keep your hopes and dreams alive with prayer.
Lesa
To everyone I thank you for all of your advice and comments I will continue to read all of them with an open mind, none of you will ever know how much I care for you.
Lesa
------------------
Maybe someday

[This message has been edited by LMS (edited January 02, 2000).]

Well I talked to H lastnight but not for long he was sick and just wanted to talk to the kids and me just for a few min,he said he would call back tonight so now I get to wait until I hear the phone ring again. Seems like I do that alot, but I'll take what I can get from him any time I can.
Lesa
------------------
maybe someday

I wait by the phone all the time. When he's in town on Fri - Sun. I don't want to leave the house. I just want to be there to answer the phone and hear his voice. Sometimes I think it's pathetic but I want him back and if I can keep in contact with him and be a good Plan A'er, I know one day he will come home.
I never leave the house just on the off chance of him calling unanounced if I do go it is to stay at my in-laws house for the weekend or something to do with a Dr. appointment, or school.
Oh speaking of appointments how did your son's go I hope he is doing better.
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Lesa [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
------------------
maybe someday

I just read you post I'm sorry you were so angry. But, you have to let it out some time or it will eat you alive huh? My personal favorite thing to do is sit down and write a letter to my self or H that I tear up when done, I get to say what ever I want and dont have to worry about LB'ing big time if I let out loud on him. or I take a really hot shower and just sit in it and cry, both make me feel better and no one can hear me crying in the shower.
I need to get in bed but I'll be back tomorrow if ya need to vent you know where I am.
Take care and God Bless
Lesa
------------------
maybe someday

Well I talked to H again this morning I think he is calling to just tell me he don’t have the time to talk, it bugs me something fierce, so I try to get him to set a day and time to call so we can talk, I get if I wake up (he works night shift 12hr shifts) I'll call you tonight or I'll call you tomorrow. This bites!!! I get every thing that I want to say in my head then he calls and says he cant talk, I feel like someone took a mixer to my brain. But he is willing to talk (if we ever do) I know he has been sick and I know last night was hard but why call (he didn’t say he was going to) if he cant talk?
Can anyone tell me if I should take this as a good sign that he wants to talk to me even when he doesn’t have the time?
Thank you and God bless
Lesa

------------------
maybe someday

He still has not called,(maybe he is going to sleep first) I am going crazy I find my self staring at the darn phone, like looking at it is going to make it ring and be him on the other side. I'm just really excited to talk with him, I miss him so much,Plesas pray with me that we have a successful talk today and we cant start rebuilding.
Take care and God Bless
Lesa
------------------
maybe someday
