Usually the ws tells people, "we're separated" and leaves it at that. But that implies it's amutual agreement. Or else they say the bs kicked them out or they are divorcing.

By letting everyone know that you are do not want a divorce and still want reconciliation, that will help hasten and end to the affair. People know affairs happen and as long as they are not discussed, they will be "okay" with them. By bringing it to light, it makes everyone uncomfortable around the affairees.

I need to make it clear that it is not a total secret. In fact, her immediate family knows, as does mine, and some of her friends. The people who do not know are the people they work together with, friends they share, and his two other girlfriends. She has already gotten all the disapproval from family and friends, but now they are all supporting her....not to end our marriage..they all want it to be repaired, but they validating such comments as "love is either there or it isn't...there is nothing you can do about it". This is, based on what I have learned, a very uneducated narrow minded view. My questions are:
1. Should I tell those who do not know yet as listed above or is it enough.
2. How should I handle all the ignorant people that are advising my W?
