Kathy,<P>I am glad to hear you are feeling better again. Keep strong and what's meant to be, is meant to be. I myself don't agree in waiting around forever, and felt that dating, did help me. I've read the same book. Something like half of the marriages (50/100) ended after an affair. Only one of 100 of the marriages were ended by the betrayed. The rest were ended by the betrayer. Of those marriages that ended after (I think) 15-20 years or more, the second marriage was more likely to succeed. Those whose marriage ended in less than 5 yrs had a much lower chance of successful second marriage. Results were mixed for those between 5-15 years.<P>Basically, most marriages that end due to an affair are ended by the betrayer and subsequent remarriage statistics are not good for the sample he selected. 100 people (IMO) is not a good sample size.<P>Statistics are funny things. Since I do a good share of this kind of work, I don't tend to believe stats too much. It is too easy to skew the data in one direction or another by simply changing a few variables.
