Hi friends (former lonelymom here)
Just asking to keep me in your prayers tonite and tomorrow. I have court tomorrow at nine. Its actually called a PreTrial Conference. I have no clue yet what to expect. Ex withdrew so I am now suing him.
I would like for this to be resolved tomorrow. I would like to be done in court.
Also, my middle daughter fell down the stairs last night. It was scary for a moment. She couldn't move, breathe or even speak. I really thought she broke her back or something.
It goes to show that here I was nervous over court and I should have been thankful for my healthy kids. I guess it was a reminder from above that truly the kids are most important.
Thanks for the replies to my name change as well. Been having trouble with viruses and such on my pc, but I'm working on it.
Prayers and hugs to all, Dana
Dana,
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Stay strong tomorrow, I hope it goes well for you. I know you'll do just great, look how far you've come already.
I'll be anxious to hear how it goes for you since I'll be going soon myself.
It's amazing how something like kids getting hurt or having a mishap puts life into perspective. It is a slap back into reality. I hope your daughter is doing fine today. It's scary when something like that happens.
{{{{Stay strong, hugs to you too Dana}}}

I remember going to court. It was surreal - the only way I can describe it. I didn't understand how I could be so sad about the death of something I believed in, fought for, and truly wanted yet be so happy about about regaining my sanity and a measure of control in my life.
I prayed really hard beforehand. No one went with me for moral support. No one offered. Not my mom, my sister, closest confidante, or friends from church. But I think it was something I needed to do by myself.
I'm grateful your daughter is ok. I know you were scared. A couple of weeks ago I had to go with someone to deliver some donations to a children's hospital. I got a true reality check that day. I have no problems compared to a lot of people. Figuring out which bills to pay when and how much you have left for groceries is nothing compared to being scared your child's chemotherapy might not work.
I will pray for you also. One can never have enough prayers.
(Would you like to hear the funny thing that happened in court? Post affirmative response and I'll fill you in on the sad/funny thing.)
