Hiya Stu and everybody,<BR> I'm here to put in a good word for Lowe's. Around these parts....the Lowe's babes got a slight edge on the Depot babes. I am NOT in the Atlanta area though, or I couldnt say that...not with that Stu goin up and down them aisles and slingin sacks of topsoil and whatnot!<P> Soooooo glad the clouds are parting somewhat for you, Stu. No cliches from me, but its really great to hear.<P> Oh... I almost forgot Stu. I just acquired (cheap!) a '85 Ford F-350 "dually" CrewCab pickem up truck with a diesel motor. It aint pretty, but it runs great! So,if you're ever goin after a really big load of stuff, you're welcome to it, key's under the floor mat, driver's side. That sucker takes up two parking spaces at the Depot tho, so be careful!<P>Cya!<BR>Bill

Bill,<BR>You're on MR!!<P>Xman,<BR>I used to drive a '71 International Harvester Travelall. 392 4 barrel Holley. I'll never forget the time I was driving down the road, and someone had pulled out a little too far from one of the side streets so that they could see who was coming before pulling out. Well, they took one look at me and put it into reverse!! It is fun driving something that big sometimes.<P>We don't have too many Lowe's around here. Home Depot started in Atlanta (like Coke) and they pretty much own the place. <P>Ragamuffin,<BR>Old House Journal magazine has lots of good tips. I like watching This Old House on PBS too. Washer in the bathroom? I can only imagine what other "surprises" you have waiting for you. It'll be fun! Congrats on saving an old place from demolition. It is a great way to recycle.

As far as throwing heavy things into truck beds, I was a horse trainer for a lot of years and I'll tell you I could take some weight and throw it around! TS,<P>Personally I have the fixer-upper. <P>Professionally my employer is currently renovating a 120 year old former monastery, which is situated on 16 idllic acres. I am hoping my new office won't be the room formerly used for a mini museum that housed artifacts of a cannibalistic tribe with which one of the brothers spent 25 years. (yes, he is still alive and well into his 80's)<P>I will have to keep my karma in check! LOL!<P>Ragamuffin<P><BR>By the way we are looking to add another graphic artist and a copywriter/producer.
