Gnome
I know exactly what you went through. MY x did the same to me and I responded the same.
My x is a nurse and she would come home at night and get in bed. I would sense something was wrong, even though I was half asleep, and then she would tell me she had screwed up at work and probably killed, maimed, injured somebody and that she was a terrible nurse and should quit and get a job in retail.
Of course she never did kill, maim or injure anyone and never even was reprimanded, unless you call getting in trouble for PSA with om, for her "mistakes."
Howvever if I ever mentioned I was haviing trouble or a bad day at work, she immediately thought I was getting fired.
So work became a very difficult subject for us and one that became avoided, especially on my part.
Sisyphus,
My hat is off to you on this thread. This is one of the best threads we have had going for quite a while. A lot of good information has come out. You stimulated quite a bit of thought, and the thrust and parry of the mental sabers makes for some entertaining reading.
So, point I'm trying to make is you are not to be allowed to leave this forum, no matter how good you feel. If necessary, we can always challenge you to a dual of the key boards at two thousand miles!
You are doing a great job here, don't leave us.
Bumper
